Review: Since the end of January and implementation of NHL.TV, I have only had access to one game due to black outs. I have called several times, the first time the representative stated all games on NBCS would be blacked out. All games have been blacked out! I have asked several times for a list of upcoming games that will be blacked out which representatives have been unable to provide. Why did I pay an annual fee to not receive a service in return? Poor business model.Desired Settlement: I would like refund for the excessive "black out" games and also a refund for future games or a list of which games will be blacked out.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I bought the NHL Game Center service last hockey season to watch all games but did not want to renew. I assumed that the service would lapse at the end of the year. In November I started getting charged $24.99 and because it was buried in statement detail I did not notice it until the recent February statement. I called NHL INTERACTIVE CYBERE at the number listed on the credit card charge and told them I did not want the service. They told me it was my fault that the charges were activated this hockey season as I did not tell them not to renew. This type of negative option billing is prohibited by federal law in Canada.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the $99.66 Cdn returned for the negative option billing that occurred from November 2013 through February 2014 in the amount of $24.99 each month.

Sincerely,

Review: I purchased NHL Gamecenter Live in order to watch it on my [redacted]TV. By my estimation, including tonight, I have not been able to watch approximately 20 games so far this year. I have worked, several times, with their technical support with no permanent resolution. Tonight is very typical of 25% of the games I try to watch. Game stops and freezes within the first few minutes of the 1st period. Exiting the program and re-entering results in either the video in "load mode" without ever loading or, like tonight, an error that states "An error occurred loading your video. Please try again later." To make matters worse, between periods, the video feeds in perfect HD. Within 3 minutes of the next period starting, the video again freezes. This indicates to me, that the NHL Gamecenter is intentionally throttling the bandwidth to [redacted]TV! The feed works fine on my computer but I did not subscribe to this service to watch it on my computer. I purchased it to watch on my TV. Investigating on-line I find NUMEROUS complaints exactly like mine with [redacted]TV.Desired Settlement: Since I have only been able to watch 75% of the games, I demand a 25% refund. My subscription cost $119.25. A 25% refund would be $29.81!

Review: For 3 years now I have been a loyal yet frustrated customer of NHL Gamecenter / NHL.tv (NHL streaming service). Over the past 3 seasons blackouts of my preferred team have become more and more frequent. For this reason I decided to cancel my service and I requested a full refund. They denied my refund with no explanation.Desired Settlement: I want 100% of my money refunded.

Review: My son [redacted] is in the United States Air Force and was stationed at [redacted]. He is a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League and I subscribed to NHL Gamecenter Live for him while he was on [redacted] to view Penguin games in 2012. I noticed a monthly deduction for the 2013 season taken from my checking account from NHL Interactive Cyberen and contacted them about the charge by phone. I was talking to a customer representative who informed me I was automatically renewed for the 2013 season and it is too late to cancel and I would be charged for the entire season. My son is now stationed in [redacted] and with the 13 hour time difference, the games are on during his on duty times so he won't be able to watch even if he wanted. All I wanted was to cancel the subscription which I never agreed to for 2013 but was told I was auto renewed and nothing can be done until next season and a monthly fee of $24.99 would continue to be deducted for the 2013 season.Desired Settlement: I just want a cancellation of the product and no further deductions from my checking account as I nor my son has any use for this product and I never wanted the 2013 season to begin with.

Response:

Dear [redacted]:

I run writing in response to your letter, dated October **, 2013, concerning the complaint (the "Complaint") filed by [redacted] (the "Complainant") with the Revdex.com.

We at the National Hockey League consider our customers, our service and our customer service to be among our highest priorities. We take all customer complaints received seriously and always attempt to handle them in a prompt and reasonable manner.

We have reviewed and investigated the facts alleged in the Complaint, and have canceled the Complainant's subscription to our NHL GarneCenter LIVE service (the "Service") that was automatically renewed for the 2013-2014 NHL season and also issued a full refund, as reflected in the attached documentation. For your records, we wish to make clear that our automatic renewal policy for the Service is clearly stated in the Service's FAQs (see, for example, Section 2.d., entitled "What Does 'Automatic Renewal' Mean?") and the NHL.com's Terms of Service. Moreover, prior to the start of the season we notify current subscribers to the Service that their subscriptions will be automatically renewed for the upcoming season unless they affirmatively cancel by the date set forth in the notice. That being said, we fully understand the reason for canceling in this instance and therefore have no problem canceling the subscription and issuing a full refund.

We hope this brings this matter to a close but please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter.

Review: my billing plan as shown on the website is a 3-month installment plan. I have been billed a 4th month installment and refuse to correct the problem.Desired Settlement: I want them to honor the 3-month billing as is shown in my billing account information and refund the excess billing amount.

Review: I have accidentally attached my Sony TV to the wrong NHL Gamecenter account.

NHL's website states clearly at nhl.com/sony to contact NHL Gamecenter at ###-###-#### in order to unlink a Sony device from my account. When I called them, they said that they could see a Sony TV linked to my account but that they cannot unlink it, and to contact Sony.

Sony cannot unlink this device, because the link exists on NHL Gamecenter's end, not on Sony's end.

The only people that can unlink my Sony device from my NHL Gamecenter account are the NHL Gamecenter people. I need it unlinked so that I can link the device to the correct account and use the TV for one of the main reasons that I bought that brand, to watch NHL Gamecenter on it.Desired Settlement: I need NHL Gamecenter to unlink my Sony TV from my NHL Gamecenter account.

Since they can see the link in their system, they should be able to unlink it, even if it needs to go to the next level of support, or their IT people. If they for some reason have to contact Sony to do so, then so be it.

All I want them to do is follow through with the instructions on their website that state to contact them to unlink a Sony device from my NHL Gamecenter account.

My NHL Gamecenter user name is my email address: [redacted] Thank you.
