In regards to the above referenced complaint: An agent originally spoke to Mr*** on 2/5/After he verified his social security number and the debt was explained, Mr*** expressed he wished to make a payment arrangement for itOur agent accepted the proposed arrangement due to Mr
Taylor’s personal circumstances, but Mr*** hung up while being transferred to payment processing.There was no further contact until 2/8/at which time Mr*** expressed he no longer wished to pay his debtThe agent notated his account as such and closed it downSince then there has been no attempt to contact from our office of any sortAt no time did the agent say Mr*** would be arrested over his debt, and if Mr*** was under that impression we apologize for that miscommunication. Please be advised that the account has been returned to our client so no further communications will come from our office to Mr*** regarding this accountThank you, Compliance Department

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The agent said I was going to be arrested for check fraud and I also contacted the original creditor and at no time did they give said debt to this place, also why do they identify themselves as Civil litigations department and not Niagara capital recovery?? I still have the voicemail that they sent me threatening and officer coming to my place of residence and place of employment which is also illegal for a valid bill collection Regards, *** ***
