We reviewed this patient's account and she did indeed still have an outstanding balance of $520. Due to some system issue the patient did not receive another statement after the 4th one was generated to her. It is customary that the hospital keeps in frequent contact with our patients
when they are making good faith payments on an account. I do not know why this didn't occur with this account. At this time the patient has been contacted and given a 20% discount on the balance owing and the collection agency has been contacted and closed the claim. This did not go on her credit report and the patient was also advised of this. I hope this matter has been settled with youThank youChristina *** Lead Biller Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center
