We received a Sharp copier from XBE in July, based upon the recommendations of their sales person, Steve C***Due to the cost of the machine MrC*** recommended using a finance company XBE represents, *** *** *** and purchase the copier through monthly payments
During the copier experienced problems and we were not able to use it for approximately months because of "hardware issues" with the machine; during this time XBE provided us with a loaner unitDuring the repairs the XBE technician replaced 2"boards" and other parts, and was finally able to make it work againThis work was all done under a service plan at no cost to us
In November of we sold our business but we were still responsible for the monthly payments, which we have made, but our copier use decreased 88% from the beginning; we also cancelled our service agreementAt the first of July, we started having issues with scanning and emailing documents and we called for service, and the technician said it was a "software" problemA few days later a different technician arrived and declared it was a "hardware" issue, but once this technician left the machine would not scan/email, nor would it make any copies (which was not the original problem)We were later told the machine needed a $"board" to fix it
I contacted the company and was told Brad R*** was the owner (not Donna R***) and I left a messageMrR*** called me and I explained that we have had the machine years, and this was the second major "hardware" issue, and I told him that we were told in this was the appropriate copier for our needs and we were placed on a year payoff
MrR*** told me our "best bet" was to trade this copier in and get a new oneI explained to MrR*** that our copier needs were dramatically less now and I asked him if I could turn the copier back in and cancel the note; his reply was "you have choices, pay us to come out and fix the machine, or trade it in on a new one." Then MrR*** said we were "done talking" and he disconnected the call Their customer service is horrible
