This customer purchased a used Honda Civic on August of The title is a clean title and it is titled in OhioThe customer purchased the car knowing that there was no warranty on it from our dealership(I am attaching signed copies of the Federal Buyers Guide as well as supplemental documents that were signed)The customer has an issue with Honda if Honda told them there was an extended warrantyEven though, when he purchased from us it was disclosed that there was no manufacturers warranty on the car, or any other warrantyThis complaint should be directed toward Honda as the customer agreed that he purchased the vehicle from our dealership

This vehicle is titled as ORIGINAL (CLEAN)It is not titled as Salvage, or RebuiltThere are only three types of titles, ORIGINAL (Clean), SALVAGE and REBUILTThe vehicle was imported and titled as CLEAN in Florida, and then we purchased the vehicle from Florida and it is titled as ORIGINAL (Clean) here in OhioI am attaching copies of the title showing that the title is ORIGINAL /CleanYes, the vehicle was originally in Canada and there are millions of cars imported from Canada to the United States every yearWe were not aware the vehicle was previously in Canada when we purchased it, as we purchased it from Florida and it was titled CLEAN in Florida as wellThe term “Grey Market” just means that it was originally titled outside of the countryGrey Market has nothing to do with the titles statusAs, this vehicle is titled ORIGINAL (Clean), there is/was nothing to disclose to the customerHad the vehicle been Salvage or Rebuilt title status, that would have been disclosed to the customerThe cracked block issue that the customer is having was and is not a “Recall” by HondaIt is part of what Honda calls an Extended WarrantyThe engine issue was not recalledAs the customer agreed when signing the sale documents, that the vehicle did not come with any Warranty and was As-Is, the issue that the customer is having should be directed toward HondaWe have offered our mechanics services, and engine replacement at COST to the customer to assist in resolving the issue out of goodwill but they have declined

This customer purchased this used Jeep from us on 9/9/which was eight months agoThe customer purchased this used year old vehicle knowing that the purchase was "AS-IS" and they even stated this in their complaintI am attaching the signed documentsAt the time of the sale, it
was explained to the customer that the vehicle sold is and there was no warrantyAlthough, the customer was offered a warranty/service contract that would cover repairs from anywhere from months, to years, however the customer declined to add this coverageThe customer has been in possession of this used vehicle for over eight months and there is no telling what could have been done to the vehicle in that time periodThis vehicle being years old is sure to have maintenance and mechanical issues arise that need addressedA list of common problems is also found on the back of the Federal Buyers Guide that the customer signed knowing some examples of common issues that may arise with used vehiclesThe customer also inspected the car prior to purchase and agreeing to the saleNice Auto Group did nothing wrong and did not cause any issue to go wrong over the course of the eight months that the customer has had the vehicleWe cannot take back the vehicle as the sale was AS-IS, and the customer declined to purchase and extended warranty/service contract on this vehicle

Even though, when he purchased from us it was disclosed that there was no manufacturers warranty on the car, or any other warranty. This complaint should be directed toward Honda as the customer agreed that he purchased the vehicle AS-IS from our dealership.

The cracked block issue that the customer is having was and is not a “Recall” by Honda. It is part of what Honda calls an Extended Warranty. The engine issue was not recalled.
