Nice Price Auto Sales, Inc Reviews (6)

Mr*** did contact us regarding repairs needed to his truck, and brought it back to the shop that does our repairs, *** *** *** was given the list of recommended repairs, and performed his own inspection. *** *** did find several parts in need of repair, and
replaced all of the parts that he felt needed to be replaced. They replaced the following items: upper and lower ball joint, axle track bar, and two tie rods. *** *** also replaced a brake rotor that he deemed was in need of repairTotal of repairs, parts and labor, was $which we paid *** *** for with check #(Copy of the invoice is included with this e-mail.) The front end alignment was NOT performed, as *** *** does not have the equipment to do front end alignments. Mr*** was given two options by sales agent Rob S*** to resolve the front end alignment complaint: bring the truck back to our dealership, and we would have it done, at our expense, at *** ***, of New Haven N.Y.; or We would reimburse Mr*** $to get the alignment done at a shop nearer to his location. That offer still stands. As for other suspension parts that were asked for in this complaint, it was the opinion of Nathan B*** of *** Jay A*** Mgr. Nice Price Auto Sales Inc. ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
I have the wheel beering at home that we took out and replaced,I will
take a picture of it and send to you.you see on the wheel beering that
it was going way before we phurachesed it. Regards, *** ***

Response to most recent communication, your letter dated June 9, You sent the picture of the faulty wheel bearing I spoke to a few different technicians regarding this subject They said that there is no way to determine a time frame of number of miles based on a photo of a defective part A wheel bearing that was bad for miles could look bad Or a wheel bearing that was bad for miles could look badThere really is no way to tellBut it is the opinion of the technicians that I spoke with that a defective wheel bearing would most likely not last 1,miles - it would have failed much soonerThank you, John A*** Nice Price Auto Sales, Inc

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For [redacted] reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Regards, [redacted]  I made the original Purchase of the vehicle on the 12th of December 2017, after arriving at my home, I noticed that the Truck needed the truck was pulling. I called and spoke to rob and returned the vehicle to [redacted] local garage on 01/02/2018 While you did fix the some of the issues with the front end, [redacted] company failed to fix multiple issues, including the two front u-joints, left outer tie rod end, long end of the draglink, and didn’t do an alignment. After speaking to Robert on 01/09/2018 Over the telephone, he told me to take it to my auto repair company and have them do an estimate, This is still all in my 30 day warranty time frame, We deliver the truck to Spring and Alignment, who write up an estimate, Which totaled to $1717.44. This does not include the radio or the plastic skin for my rear bumper that I have never received.  I have tried numerous methods to contact [redacted] business Including Phone, Text, Emails with the estimate, The only time we received a response was one time upon calling, an Employee announced that “The Boss” Was on Vacation for 1 week, And that he would reach out to us as soon as he returned, which never happened, and no effort to contact Me was made, All I am searching for is that repairs to the Truck that I spent $11,000 on, Be made, as I was promised, Please find attached to this notice, the Estimate from Spring and Alignment. Thank you, [redacted]

I will answer each concern regarding this vehicle, based upon the customer's complaint.   1. Oil pan leak: The leak was small enough that it was not detected in the pre-sale inspection.  When it was called to our attention, it was immediately replaced with a brand new oil pan,...

at  our expense.   2. Rear wiper: We also replaced the rear wiper motor at the customer's request, at our expense.   Despite the fact that a rear wiper, optional equipment on many vehicles, is not a requirement  for NYS inspection, and was not negotiated prior to the sale.    3. Tires: It was the customer's choice to replace the tires on her vehicle, discarding good tires  that passed NYS inspection. Often, more than one tire size are acceptable on a vehicle.  Recommended factory tire size is just that - recommended. Perhaps the shop that sold her tires  because they were "the wrong size" should be questioned about discarding perfectly good tires.  4. Although muffler is not a repair that is on NYS inspection or warranty, I personally spoke with     this repair on November 8th, three weeks after purchase, not "a few days later". I don't know  why she chose to not use my assistance on the muffler. I also don't know why she chose to have  an alignment done.   5. As for the electrical problem in January, more than three months after purchase, no dealer or   repair shop would have been able to foresee an impending electrical problem that would   surface three months down the road. Nor would any dealership cover any repair to a vehicle   purchased with over 100,000 miles (131,643 at date of purchase), three months later. NYS  Lemon Law indicates that there is no warranty, expressed or implied, on a vehicle purchased  over 100,000 miles. That being said, had she called me about this electrical problem, I would   have been able to get her a discount on the repairs needed. It surely could be repaired for much  less than her exaggerated $1,000 estimate. I assume the customer did not choose to make you aware of the several berating and threatening phone calls made to our dealership, both from her and a friend. I have voicemails saved from November 5th, November 6th, and November 8th, that I would be happy to share at any time. One threatening phone call spoke of a supposed blown transmission, that she later admitted was not true.  I feel that we bent over backwards to satisfy this customer, well beyond what is required of us. I  have found, in my over 30 years in this business, that some customers will never be satisfied,  and will take any opportunity to speak ill of a hard working company.   If you need any further information or have any further questions or concerns, please contact  me at any time.  John [redacted]  Manager, Nice Price Auto Sales Inc.  Phone 315-887-0170

The customer stated that they were not aware of the fact that their warranty was for 30 days, or 1,000 miles.  Enclosed in this e-mail is a photocopy of the purchase agreement, that specifically states "30 day, 1,000 mile drivetrain warranty, which ever comes first."  The vehicle was...

purchased at 162,887 miles, and was brought back at 164,188 miles - a total of 1,301 miles.  The shop did agree that the wheel bearing was in need of repair, and that there was a power steering leak.  They are malfunctions that could happen to any vehicle, at any time, certainly possible over the course of the 1,300 miles the truck was driven since purchase.  As part of the inspection process, it was determined that one wheel bearing was bad, which was replaced, along with some other repairs.  If the other bearing was bad at that time, it would have been replaced as well.   To help the customer out, I did offer to get the repairs done at our discounted shop rate, as we are a steady customer at Your Automotive, and get a very good discount.  The price for these repairs is much less than the disputed amount of $1,000. I spoke with Your Automotive today, and they would do the repairs (wheel bearing and power steering box) for $532.  My offer stands, even at this date, to get these repairs done at my discounted rate.  If the customer would like to get these repairs done by Your Automotive, they can contact them at 315-216-4878 to make arrangements.  I have made Your Automotive aware of this offer, and all they have to do is mention our agreement when setting up the appointment.  Note: The customer stated the purchase price for this vehicle as $7,400, while the actual purchase price was $6,900.   If you need any further information or have any further questions or concerns, please contact me at any time.
