Review: My main issue is we were lead to believe that our entire fuel line would be repair and it was not. We began leaking gas from said fuel line and took it back to have it repaired again. Only then were we informed that they couldn't replace the entire fuel line two days ago because it would have also involved replacing the break line. When asked why we were not informed of that before paying over 1100 dollars for a repair, we were told that would have been a 10 hour repair. I am furious with the cavalier attitude of sending us home in essentially a death trap! I feel [redacted] could have handle the issue a lot better.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the money we spent on a repair that was not essentially incomplete

Response:

RE: Complaint ID [redacted]Dear Ms. [redacted],On January 28, 2015 the customer’s vehicle was towed to our shop because it had quit running and would not restart.Upon inspection we found that the fuel pump was inoperative. We also found that the fuel lines were leaking near the tank and the filler neck had several rust holes in it. In fact, there was a severe rust problem on the fuel and brake lines, pretty much the whole underside of the vehicle. On most vehicles the fuel and brake lines come as a unit that go from the front of the vehicle to the rear. Due to the high cost of this assembly it is common practice to replace the damaged lines individually. The cost of the fuel pump, filler neck, lines and labor would far exceed the $2000.00 limit the customer asked that we keep it under. We accomplished the repairs at a total cost of $1122.74.Unfortunately the vehicle came back a day later with a leak in the fuel return line toward the front of the vehicle.Due to the severity of the rust, it is highly probable that further leaks may occur on the fuel and/or brake lines.Sincerely,[redacted] Service Manger

Review: Vehicle was towed to the above dealership for repair. Went to pick up vehicle in Pittsburgh as notified that it was finished - at that time the radio and clock in car were not working - - On my "paid"invoice it states that the master fuse was replaced and "tested for shorts." Phoned the dealership - spoke with the technician ([redacted]) about the problem - who responded by saying "we were just trying to get your car running and hadn't even noticed that the radio and clock were not working." Everything on the vehicle was working - radio and clock - before this repair.Desired Settlement: Want the clock and radio repaired by a Chevy dealer closer to my home without the inconvenience of having to go back to Pittsburgh without any additional charges since the radio and clock were working fine before the vehicle was worked on by Crivelli's.
