Review: [redacted] started work on my mother's house, I am her POA, on July 5, 2014, he gave her an estimate and wanted 1/2 of the money up front. He began work and quickly went from one project to another, and continually said that he ran into issues and needed more money, he also, talked her into making him an authorized user on her Home Depot card, in which we found he charged $8,000 in merchandise that was not needed for my mother's job, my mother is elderly and I found this out after the fact, hence, me becoming her legal POA. We sought the help of a lawyer, but because he was made an authorized user, there was no way of us reclaiming the funds stolen, he would start jobs, then rip them apart, telling her he needed more money. This went on until we filed police charges last week after finding many personal items stolen from the house, many of my deceased grandfather's tools and my step father's landscaping tools. He also started work on a friend's house. in which he stole money, gas, and flooring, and he completely ripped out her kitchen and then never returned to work. he collected several thousand dollars from my mother, and her ceiling is still open, her kitchen and plumbing are undone and he will not answer calls, the North Versailles Police department have been called, the originally recommended he "work off" the money from Home Depot that he stole and that is the reason he was let back into her home, and that is when he stole the personal items. We have again spoken to the police. He is also receiving Social Security Disability for claims of back and neck injury, while he was doing this work.Desired Settlement: I know there is no way for any refund for the work unfinished to be given, it is in the police's hands, but I do want his name out there so this doesn't happen to anyone else. This has been an ongoing nightmare, and we, as a family feel completely violated and are financially drained.
