I would like to share my experience with Nicks Building supply. We were in the process of a major renovation and big addition.. I was pricing wood doors with some of the major retailers and decided to go online and see if I could find better prices.. I came across Nicks and found great prices for same product but after reading some of the reviews I was very apprehensive.. I decided to take a shot with the front door with sidelights as the price was 1/2 of what I had been quoted by other lumber suppliers including Home Depot and Lowes.. My door came in on time and looked great.. Since then I have also ordered my Outdoor Double French doors where I also got it for almost 1/2 the price I was quoted elsewhere and again it came on time and look great.. Now I am a true fan of Nicks now and will refer anyone who asks.
This has nothing to do with the doors, I'm sure they're greatThis has everything to do with a cowardly, bigoted, overall ridiculous employee there named JeffThe yelling, the cursing at me, the sexual comments, the anti-semitic comments (and I'm not even Jewish), these things I can handleBut when you threaten me and bring my family into the situation when in reality, you do not know me nor have you met me, those are things that I take personallyAgain, I'm sure their doors are of the utmost quality and that the rest of the people there are just fine, but because of the experience I had with this Jeff clown, I would not recommend this establishment to anyoneFurthermore, please feel free to reach out to me with any further details about this incident and I will be happy to share them with you, but feel they're a bit inappropriate for posting
Buyer be ware, this online provider will mislead you with delivery timeI ordered a door on January 12th and was quoted delivery time to weeksChris L took my orderIt took him several days to email a confirmation of the order, after which they sat on the order for three more weeksYour order won't go into production until your CC is build I was told after calling to check on ETASo it gives them a very unique ability to tell you that your delivery will be 3-weeks but in reality could be 2-3-monthsMake them write a delivery time on the order confirmation and add a nonperformance clause If you are ordering from theses people because its made in America, you are making a big mistake, this is not a service you would expect from an American companyI have never seen any business operating this wayI can not say anything about product quality because my order was cancelled by Chris after he called my house telling me that I will never get my door since I reviewed this company gamesmanship on Google
Surprisingly enough, any correspondence with this company is handled with g-mail or yahoo accountsit makes me believe this company is nothing but a front
I ordered a knotty adler door from NicksThe door came on time, however, on the top of the trim there was a large burnt out knot Right on the inner edge of the trim and the actual door, thus breaking the seam and looking very unaesthetic, not to mention that if I need to sand this door: I will probably cut my hand when it slips in the hole I sent them lots of pictures that clearly showed this Contacted Customer Service and I was promptly told that the hole on the trim is not viewed by the company as an issue They are supposedly sending putty and stain so I can attempt on fixing the hole on the trim, but one thing for sure: they lost my business and now I have a door that could have been so beautiful, but now I have a door that has a hole in the trimIf you can't personally pick the door in their warehouse: I would be very weary ordering from them
We love our gorgeous Sapele Mahogany garage doors! Nick's Building Supply took time to answer all of our questions from the beginning to the end of the project and he provided excellent customer serviceWe highly recommend him
Ordered wooden garage doors and a front door *** in FebDid not notice any damage on cratesWhen opened however one of the garage doors was damagedCalled immediately - they said take picturesNothing elseWe had to install the doors it was -When 'service' finally contacted us back they tried to blame the damage on us; then said we could not return them because it was installed and now "used"; then said we knew the 'policy' when we purchasedThis is just a warning - You can take the chance and may get by, but if you have any real problem you will eat itRead other reviews in other places; there is a theme I would never purchase from them again
The phone number listed will not be answered! After over twenty attempts over a weeks time, I finally talked to a salesman named ***He informed me that they were real busy and doing 1and1/million dollars of bussines per month! Hard to believe when contact is non existent
Warning!!! We bought mahogany interior doors from nick's they promised week delivery they called for last half of there payment and said they would be shipped the next day at the week point, when they didn't show after a week I called and they hadn't shipped and they didn't care if I ever got them finally weeks later we received the doors and the jambs were stained instead of primed again they were very rude and Said they wouldn't do anything about it
I've been in the building industry years and nicks is the worst warning don't make the same mistake as me check there reviews and ratings before you buy
