02/26/2016Dear Sirs; This correspondence is in reference to ID number ***On 07/23/2015*** *** took delivery of a Mazda As you can see by the NY State Dealer Used Passenger Vehicle Limited Warranty she signed enclosed, the mileage of the vehicle at delivery was
118,You can also see she acknowledged the mileage with her initials. She also acknowledged it was "as is" with her initials. After several months, in early November ***'s mother *** came to pay me a visit and said the car was running rough after a trip to Michigan, and asked if there was anything I could doI told her to bring it in to a repair shop, *** that we use and let them check it out. She did and found out it needed spark plugs as you can see from the enclosed repair billI PAID THE BILL even after she drove the car 6,miles and almost four months later*** sent me a thank you and I thought all was well. After months, ***'s mom faxed me 25% of a hand written sheet of paper that said the car now needed catalytic convertersI called the garage they Had the car at and spoke to a mechanic that spoke broken EnglishHe told me the first converter went bad and she kept driving it so that blew all the bad pieces down into the second converter and now both are ruinedAfter doing some research on the vehicle from a new car dealers parts department, there is only one converter and one resinator. *** then came in to confront me with a friend and was very confrontational and then told me I obvious was not a mechanic and didn't know what I was talking aboutI then told her this conversation was turning unproductive and is now over. I have been in business for years and try to help all my customers as you can clearly by me paying for a tune up after 6,miles of useBut, if a customer comes in demanding things they don't have coming, with a confrontational attitude, I have no interest in helping them especially when a car has over 100,miles at purchase and the State of New York says is "as is". Please tell *** the correct spelling of "catalytic" and not "Cadillac" as that is a car companySincerely'Alan Rosen, owner

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Nickel City Auto Sales297 South Transit St.Lockport, N.Y. 14094716 433-434305/03/2016Dear Sirs; This is in response to  ID#[redacted].On April 4th, 2015 over one year ago, [redacted] purchased this 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with 157,427 miles on it that you can see by the enclosed New York State...

Dealer Used Passenger Vehicle Limited Warranty. You can also see he initialed the mileage and the exclusion of coverage being over 100,000 Miles. Before Mr. [redacted] took delivery of this truck, we had it serviced and NYS inspected by [redacted] Service Inc. on 04/02/2015 as you can see by the enclosed repair order (invoice #[redacted]). Clearly listed on this repair order you will notice [redacted]s installed an intermediate E-brake cable, rear brake pads, and left rear brake caliper we provided them from our parts store. This provides documented proof the emergency brake and rear brakes were new and passed inspection.Soon after delivery Mr. [redacted] returned with a water pump issue. We had that repaired for him immediately at no cost to him. After several days and 1,725 miles, Mr. [redacted] returned complaining of a vibration and we sent him to back to [redacted]s for them to have a look. They did in fact find a bent Tie rod end that could have been bent in those 1,725 miles the truck had been driven since they inspected it, but I insisted they repair the tie rod end and look the truck over fully. Upon further inspection of the vehicle, they found a loose u-joint and the seeping right front axel seal. As you can see by the enclosed repair order (invoice #70519) those repairs were done in addition to a front end alignment and top off the rear end fluid to complete those repairs properly. Recently on 04/27/2016, Mr. [redacted] went to [redacted] Automotive to get his truck inspected. As you can see by the enclosed repair order Mr. [redacted] provided us, the current mileage on his truck is 186,308. [redacted] found that his truck was in need of rear brakes and apparently some e-brake parts had rusted off. Being a 14 year old vehicle and living its life in western New York that is unfortunately normal wear and tear, especially being driven 28,881 miles in a single year. A year ago I went above and beyond any liability as mandated by New York State DMV that Mr. [redacted] acknowledged by initialing and signing that paperwork with the exclusion and mileage. Older vehicles with high miles have to be maintained which does cost money. We can't warranty them forever as per New York State.Sincerely,Alan Rosen, owner
