On [redacted] 2015, I noticed that my rear passenger side door would not open when using the remote or the unlock buttons in the vehicle either. The only way to unlock the rear passenger side door is manually using the knob. The vehicle had 41,326 miles on it as of Sunday [redacted] 2015, and it had a 12,000 mile warranty when I purchased the vehicle. I bought the vehicle with 29,706 miles on it, meaning the 12,000 mile warranty will end at 41,706. On [redacted] 2015, I emailed Nicky D's owner [redacted] to inform her of an issue with my vehicle. I also called Nicky D's. Called Nicky D's on X-XX-XX at approx [redacted] PM, talked to [redacted] he made an appt for [redacted] and[redacted] for me for the oil change and to look over the broken lock on my rear passenger side door. I asked him if it would be covered under warranty as my warranty was up in less than 500 miles, and he said "well, you sent an email to [redacted] and they are open minded so you should be fine". As of [redacted] I have not been able to get an appointment to have my vehicle repaired. Nicky D's keeps saying they are waiting for a part, or don't have repair appointments for 2 to 3 weeks out. I let them know to call me and let me know when I could bring the vehicle for repair, and [redacted] told me on [redacted] he would call me back that day. I never received a call back, so at[redacted] on [redacted] I made an appointment with another dealer to have the vehicle repaired elsehwere. I received a call back from Nicky D's the next day, saying the next appointment was on [redacted] I let them know that this call was too late as I already started having the work done elsewhere and it would be completed by Thursday [redacted] I asked for Nicky D's to pay for this, and they refused.Product_Or_Service: 2011 [redacted]Desired SettlementA cash or check refund in full from Nicky D's for the repair cost of having the rear door lock actuator replaced, since Nicky D's didn't repair it promptly per their warranty. I have been waiting over a month and a half for them to repair it, and with their 2 week out appointment window, that will mean I will have had this issue for 2 months total. His vehicle carried a 12 month or 12000 mile warranty. His 12 months were up so he was no longer under warranty. However we told him we would take care of the problem for him and ordered a part from Honda for him. He had several appointments that he never showed up to, and never bothered to cancel. He then called to make a 4th appointment and the slots were booked up. When he was given a date he became angry and used racist remarks to our manager. Our manger told him if he continued he would hang up. He continued and our manger hung up. I called [redacted] several times myself and told him to just bring the vehicle in and I would handle the part being put in. He responded with a bill from [redacted] for the part he went ahead and had installed on [redacted] We refunded him the money on the following Monday. As of this date he has cashed the check for his refund in full. Nicky D's prides ourselves on taking care of our customers even beyond the sale. Mr [redacted] was treated with kindness even though he became hostile. This issue has been resolved.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)The only truth in Nicky D's owner [redacted]'s reponse is that Nick, her husband and co owner, paid for my repair with a check, which I cashed. The comments about being out of warranty are a lie (My vehicle was purchased in [redacted] 2014 and I have proof of this) - it is a lie that I was contacted via phone by [redacted], and it is a lie that I made any racist remarks. I also was not given any appointments to repair my vehicle in a reasonable period of time, all appointments were 4 to 6 weeks out. I also showed up to every appointment that I made with Nicky D's. The issue is resolved, but the story and comments above from [redacted] are outright lies and I have proof that these are lies.
