On 02/03/2016, [redacted] requested a
moving quote so we recommended a representative go out and give her an on-site
estimateAt that time the client had not completed packing up her belongings
however she stated that she would be completed before the moving crew arrived
the next dayBecause we are familiar with the address she was moving to, we
did not have to do an on-site estimate for the clients new buildingOnce our
representative returned, we completed the estimate, which was $320.00, including
hours of moving, hour travel, materials, and fuelLater in the day, [redacted] called and scheduled her move for the following morning
Upon arrival the next morning, the movers
noted that the client had not yet finished her packing as she had anticipated
so the movers then began helping the client pack, letting her know that it
would take at least an additional hour to complete the move with packingShe
was fine with the quote and the movers then proceeded to get everything packed
and loaded
Once the truck arrived at the new location,
the movers spoke with the front desk and was made aware that the freight
elevator, "which is usually dedicated for moving", was broken and the movers
would have to share an elevator with the residents of the buildingWe then let
the client know about the elevator and sharing an elevator with residents of
the building would cause the move to take longer than originally estimated
The client was immediately made aware of the
elevator being down and we proceeded to collect payment for the estimated cost,
including the additional time that would be neededAfter the 10% senior
citizen discount was applied, the client paid $544.83, by COD and the items
were unloaded and delivered into the apartment, reassembled and placed in the
requested areas
The additional time would not have been
needed had the client completed packing and if we had the freight elevator
available to us at the new apartmentMost of the additional time used was
because the movers had the share the passenger elevatorSince we charge by the
hour, the move went over by hours, which was actual time used during labor,
travel, packing, and moving
Since the overage was due to these
circumstances which were beyond our control we are not able to refund monies
paid for services that were providedAt this time, we have not received any
complaint from the client in regards to her move since it was completed,
however we do regret that she was not satisfied with the services provided

I have used this company on several occasions, both in and out of state. They are competent, reliable and proficient in their work ethics. They start on time, move quickly studios but carefully. To add, they are very personable. I have made them my movers and refer them to family and
friends. I must mention the professionalism of the staff. Michelle is quite efficient and accommodating. Thank you team!

Review: This company quoted me one price but stated immediately that moving all my stuff should have been a 3 man job. When I asked him to call for a third person, he refused. They quote at the location of my move was for 5 hours and my final bill was for 6 hours. They complained the whole time over the five hours until I paid them for the full amount of time it would take to complete the job. They left my house in terrible condition: my kids beds on the front lawn, furniture dumped in a room and not arranged as I wanted, my hutch (for China) was never screwed back together and almost fell on my daughter. Now as I unpack my boxes, I am finding broken glass and my furniture is noticeably scratched up. All I asked was for a refund of any money beyond the 5 hour on-site quote. I would like to be reimbursed the extra insurance I paid ($250) as well and I will handle replacing and fixing what was damaged because I do not trust that this company will hold up their end of the bargain. This whole moving process occurred while my husband was deployed and could not have been a bigger nightmare. Customer service and professionalism were not evident after 11:30am. I am requesting a total refund of $339.00 .Desired Settlement: Refund of $339.00 which includes the additional insurance policy and extra hour of labor. I know that means I am no longer entitled to claim any breaks or misplaced items.

We have settled this dispute with the client as of 07/23/2014 by reimbursing one hour in the amount of $89.00 to the clients credit card and mailing a check in the amount of 250.00 on 07/24/2014 to reimburse the Replacement Value Coverage option that was purchased.

We did notify the client of the reimbursement and she acknowledged receipt.
