I called Nicol Electric and asked for a quote on putting lights on a patio I was buildingTwo gentlemen showed up, took measurements...etc and said that Jeff would give me a quote Time passed, and progress on the building was to the point of putting in lights, still no quote I called and explained that I needed to have those lights put in, and was told no problem The workers assured me that it would be at a standard hourly rate and not to worryI hired Nicol Electric to do the job It was a hassle because of electrical inspections which did not pass, and the guys had to come out more than once Two months after the job, still no invoiceI texted Jeff multiple times, asked for and invoice and finally got one months later for $3,111.31!!! I was shockedI believe you could hire an electrician to wire an entire home for less This was simply to put in lights, electrical outlets and run the wires to the breaker Lesson learned Get an estimate before allowing a contractor to proceed While Jeff and his crew were nice, I feel I was taken advantage of and charged a higher rate than had he actually given me a quote for the job
