Review: I shopped here on Black Friday. There were a lot of sales going on and I grabbed so many items I could not hold them all, so I asked for them to be held at the front as I finished browsing. At checkout, I had a total of 2 sweaters, 4 blouses, 4 pairs of pants and 1 winter coat. While a woman rang me up (the owner), an associate bagged my items. She handed me a NON-ITEMIZED receipt with a grand total of $128.90. I asked if I could pick up my purchases in an hour as I continued shopping in the neighborhood. She agreed to hold them behind the counter. When I returned for my items, I purchased another winter coat at this time. They handed me one bag containing my previous purchases and one bag with the second winter coat. I immediately got in a cab and came straight home. I checked the cab AS I ALWAYS DO when I exited for anything left behind (this is NYC), which there was not.When I got home, there were no pants at all, in either bag. I returned to the store Saturday night and told the associate from the day before there were no pants in the bag . The same woman said "Oh well, you lost them." I told her they were never given to me, and demanded my money back or 4 pairs of pants. She said no. I said I will return with the cops, and she said that was fine. She said there is surveillance footage of the transaction showing the items being bagged and handed to me... when I asked to see it, she said no.There are multiple issues here. First, why is my receipt not itemized? She has her proof she sold me these items, but where is my proof as a consumer as to how many items and how much I paid for each? Second, if there is footage of the transaction, which will easily settle this entire argument, why can't I see it? And third, as a store owner, wouldn't you try to reason with a customer who just spent $175 in your store? A discount, 1 pair of pants (they were $8 on sale, $10 regularly)... something?
