vehicle was reworked and completed on 7/25/Even with these extra days the completion time for the repair was well within industry standards (hours per business day)The vehicle had hours of repair with the work beginning on 7/5/Our foreman explained to the customer when the vehicle was picked up that the suspension was worn out (the vehicle has ~187,miles) and the problem was a maintenance issue, not damaged as a result of the accidentOur technician had spent several (uncompensated) hours getting the wheel alignment as close to specs as possible Upon receiving the Revdex.com letter our foreman contacted the customer (8/29/@ ~11:50am) to clarify what the complaint actually wasHe was informed that the problems were a door may need adjusting and the wheel alignmentThe foreman made arrangements for the customer to bring the vehicle in 8/30/before noon to inspect the problems (the foreman would be out of the shop after noon for the rest of the week due to a funeral)Per the complaint our foreman asked what shop had determined “the repairs were not done correctly and would need to be completely redone”? He was given the name and contacted the shop’s owner/technicianPer the shop owner/technician he had talked to the customer on the phone, but had not physically inspected the vehicle at this time On 8/30/@ ~11:the customer had not shown up or contacted usThe foreman called the customer and arrangements were made to bring the vehicle in 9/5/when the foreman would be back to work after the funeral and Labor DayThe customer came by our shop at ~1pm with a work order for a wheel alignment from the other shop dated 8/30/at 12:56pmThis noted that the “right upper control arm camber bolt was seized”The collision damage was on the left side of the vehicleWe contacted the shop 9/1/and they were able to get the left side specs closer to in line, but to correct the problem the (worn out) parts would need replacementHe informed the customer that this was not due to our repairs or the accident We are willing to pay for the realignment and try to get reimbursed by the insurance company and to address the door issue if the customer comes by on 9/5/I would also request a Revdex.com representative contact me *** *** Owner
