I talked with Manuel, the owner, this morning and went over all the things I wanted done. He gave me a quote and said his men could be there today. I didn't have to pay anything up front and he instructed me to talk to the foreman before, during and after the job. They came as scheduled and got right to work. I thought this was going to be a great experience. Not so much. I had two large plants removed. The quote was based on the fact that a large hole would have to be dug to get the roots out. However, that is not what happened. When I talked to the foreman, he told me they had dug the roots out, but there was not a hole where they dug. Much less the large hole Manuel told me when he quoted me. All they had done was chop off the root and cover it back up. When I pushed the fact, I was told they would spray it with weed killer and it would be fine. That is not what I paid for. After several conversations with the foreman and Manuel, they finally dug out most of the roots. They were ready to leave when I asked about the repair that was supposed to be done on a leak. They had not done it. They dug it up and since I now am watching every move, the foreman told me to check it before they buried it. It was still leaking and he was fine with calling it done. There was also a "misunderstanding" about what they would do with the grass that was in that area. Being tired of the arguing, I let that one go. Purely a he said/she said with the owner. Also, none of the weeds in the yard had been pulled or sprayed. I went in the back yard to see how it looked and there was still debris everywhere. They were already packed up and in the truck ready to leave. They went back to blow it out again.. they had not blown out around and under the bushes or in the corners, They took another garbage can of debris this time. Again, they were just fine leaving it a mess. My first complaint is that I should get what I paid for without an argument. Second, I should not have to stand out in the heat making sure everything was done correctly.. isn't that what the foreman is for? I felt like I was babysitting my teenagers. Now do this, now do this. Manuel the owner was not much help. I would never hire this company again and don't really feel like I got what I paid for. The sad thing is when this kind of stuff happens, most people just want them out of there. I feel the same way. I will take some responsibility for not checking this site before I hired him. Shame on me. And just for the record, I have never written a bad review about any company. That's how bad this was.

Mr. [redacted], Indeed we are not Revdex.com accredited anymore, but the date your wife called for an estimate 8/28 we were.  The work done was on 9/23 she called nearly a month after the estimate, she said she would be there...

for the appointment for the work to be done, our work is guaranteed, we ask consumers to check the work before paying to see if work is to your satisfaction and / or if they are not at home the day the work is done, check and call us when you get home if something is wrong. You never called to complain, if you had done so that same day or the next day or before posting your complaint we would have responded as we do with clients who are not satisfied with the work done for them.  That’s because when this happens either : A)the workers return to do a better job, B) your payment is credited C ) your money is refunded, but you at no time called, we have a lot of client in your area and if Mr. Nieto was a problem as you say, our business would not have the success it has. Thank you

Terrible experience all around. I had used them a few times already and scheduled a general clean up for Feb. 4th for $250. When they were here my wife talked about setting up bi-weekly service for $60 per visit. When she asked him about spraying the weeds he said they would do it next time. They also did not trim any of my bushes or trees. They were finished in under 45 minutes. Let me reiterate that: I paid $250 for less than 45 minutes of work. They also said they would call in 2 weeks to set up the first bi-weekly visit. They did not. I did, however, receive a letter from my HOA threatening to fine me for the weeds the week after they were here.

After not hearing from them, I decided to call after the 3rd week to schedule the first bi-weekly visit. They were supposed to be at my house on Saturday, March 7th between 1 and 2. At 2 they contacted me to let me know they were running late and would be there between 3-3:30. They finally showed up at 3:30 to start. At 3:45 my doorbell rang and, to my surprise, the guy told me they were done. I asked if they were going to spray the weeds like they told me they would last time, and they said they would do it next time. He said they only have 15 minutes per house. They also did not remove any of the weeds or trim any of my bushes or trees again. I immediately called the office to complain. The lady proceeded to tell me that the last time they were at my house was in November. I had to prove to her that they were here in February by sending the details of my check they cashed, which she had to research. I also sent her pictures of the terrible job they did on my yard. It was very frustrating to me that I had to prove they were here.

Once she realized that I was right and they were here the previous month, she agreed to send another crew out. They were to be here between 4:30-5pm on Thursday, March 12th. I asked to please let the crew know that there was no time restraint this time, I just need the job completed. Well, they were here at 4:30, and done at 4:45. They did trim a few of the bushes, but not all of them. They weren't going to spray the weeds until I told them, either. However, they didn't remove all the weeds, and they only sprayed one area. The crew told me that, once again, the office placed a 15 minute time limit on the visit. Still unhappy, I called the office and she told me that they can't spend all night at my house because they have other jobs they need to get to. I wish I could upload pictures to show how bad my yard looked after 3 visits within a month.

I highly discourage anyone from hiring this company. There are so many other landscaping companies out there and this is the worst I have tried. They did a horrible job on my yard and they have terrible service. I have spent $310 in a months span for about an hours worth of work to basically have my lawn mowed twice. I wish I would have read the Revdex.com reviews before hiring them. Lesson learned.

We have not had a good experience with this company. They were very disrespectful to my wife when we had them come out to the house to quote some additional landscaping work, they have consistently "manspanded" to my wife and when asked to pull the weeds in the yard not only did not pull them but mowed over our wildflower filled flower bed that is separated by concrete and brick from the lawn.

Nieto Landscaping worked on my neighbor's yard. I had a lock on my gate which did not deter them from breaking into my backyard to sweep up yard debris. They did not ask for my permission nor alert me to what they were doing.

I've used this company multiple times to remove some trees and yardwork. [redacted] is always punctual to make an onsite estimate and easy to work with. Some work can be done the same day in a matter of hours, some work, especially big jobs; he will arrange for the crew to come the following morning to complete the task. They take payment when the task is complete. The crew is always smiling, anxious to please, works hard and cleans up quickly. I would use his company again for yard work and new upcoming projects.

The Customer called after inicial clean-up was done, then the crew was sent the next day to finish what wasn't done. She waited 2 weeks to let us know about the weeds problem, also saying Manuel, said the crew would return Thursday at 7 am for maintance. My response was that she was wrong because,...

Manuel never gives a day and time for maint. The office is who takes care of calling customers and letting them know what day and time they are on our schedule, being that said the only days we have available for maintance are fridays and saturdays. The lady never mentioned broken lights, nor did she mention putting seeds on her grass, because we do not offer summer grass services While on the phone with her I was speaking to someone on the background to findout more information regarding the times she had called before. Nevertheless did I speak in a wrong way about her, I spoke in spanish because she said she did too. I admit I was a bit angry because, She repeated herself constantly because she did not understand what I was trying to explain, and also she wasn't acting very polite either. I said I'd send them for a last time, and I wasn't going to put her on the maintance list to not have further problems. She was asking for her money back, but the crew was sent everytime she requested it. The last time the crew was there she was supposed to be charged the maintance fee, but she did not have to pay anything. Lastly, she threatened me to put a complaint on Revdex.com, if I didn't send the crew, and even though crew was sent she still put a complaint.Again she did not pay for the last visit, which was also the last time we were going to send the crew.

I highly discourage anyone from hiring this company. There are so many other landscaping companies out there and this is the worst I have tried. I used this company for a year. The work was subpar, the crew was never there when they said they would be, I had to ask them to cut my bushes on my monthly maintenence or they would just ignore them and they would grow to the point I would have to trim myself. The last straw was they forgot to latch our side gate on numerous occasions even though we reminded them to, and one of our dogs got out. I would highly suggest using someone else, even though the cost is enticing. You will get what you pay for.

I had Nieto Landscaping come out twice for maintainance and that will be the last time. They miss giant patches of grass and weeds which stick out randomly from the other unevenly cut sections of grass. It looked as though they used a weed trimmer rather that a mower to do the whole lawn. Their price is very unreasonable and I would not recommend using this company at all. Every time I attempt to call they do not answer.

I had several business cards for Nieto Landscaping left on my door. I had a leak in my drip system that was under my driveway slab. On Wednesday Manuel came out and gave me an estimate of $250 to repair the leak. I asked him if they could also trim the palm trees and bushes in my back yard. He quoted me an additional $100. He said they would be out the next morning to do the work. I told him I would not be home and he asked me to leave a check under the front door matt. I was going out of town for a few days so this was my best option and I have worked with other companies in the past and have done this and never had a problem.

I got home after dark on Friday night and was out in my yard first thing Saturday morning to check the work. I first noticed that the pond in my backyard wasn't working. I checked the plug and it was unplugged so I plugged it in. It still didn't work. The pond was full of debris from the bushes they trimmed so I thought maybe the pump was clogged. I pulled it out and cleaned all of the debris out of it but still nothing. I started checking the cord and found that it had been cut! I then turned on my drip system to make sure it was working and there was no longer a leak. There is a plant right next to where the leak was and it was not getting any water. I went in the back yard and found that several of the drip lines to my bushes had been cut.

I immediately called Nieto's and got an answering machine. I left a message. I got a call back an hour or so later and I explained to the woman what happened. She asked why I hadn't called sooner and I let her know I had been out of town. She told me that it was too late in the day for someone to come out but that they could be out the following Thursday. I asked why so long and told her I was concerned about my pond turning green and she said it is a slow time of year so they are only working Thursday through Saturday. She said if they had any cancellations that day she would let me know.

I never heard back from her. I fixed all of the cut drip system lines and waited for them to come out and repair the cord to my pump and re-connect the water line to the bush in the front yard. They never came and I never heard from them again.

I don't want anything from them as I realize it was my mistake to leave a check for them before I saw the work. I just want other prospective customers to be forewarned about their business practices.
