I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

When I picked up the 10 dresses on January **, 2015, the business [redacted] advised she needed to look for one of the remaining dresses in her inventory, and she needed to make a phone call about the second dress.  She specifically committed to calling me with an update by January **, 2015. I received no phone call, and have called the busness asking to speak to the proprieter a minimum of 4 times since the [redacted] of January. On each occasion, an employee took my message and said she would ask the proprieter to return by call.  I provided my business phone and my cell phone numbers, and have never received a return phone call from the business.On January [redacted], the proprieter did state that if the dresses were not found, she would issue me a check, but she never communicated that checks are only cut at the beginning of the month.  If this is the case, I question why she did not have the courtesy to call me on January [redacted] and advise that she would be issuing a check for the two dresses.When I put the clothing on consignment in December 2013, the proprieter never advised that she would attempt to sell the clothing for a period of 6 months, and would then donate the dresses.  Never in the past 3-1/2 months, October [redacted] to date, that I have been calling and inquiring about retrieving the dresses did the proprieter communicate this 6 month policy.I am not upset or angry because the dresses did not sell.  I am registering a complaint because I believe the proprieter sold my dresses and never had any intention of compensating me.

Review: I put 12 dresses on consignment with Nikki's in Decemeber 2013. In November 2014 I contacted Niikki to retrieve the dresses since they had not sold. After multiple phone calls, and 3 months of follow up, I went to Nikki's and she could only find 10 of the 12 dresses. [redacted] told me that if she could not locate the 2 missing dresses, she would send me a check.I have called numerous times since my visit in mid-January, but [redacted] is never available, and does not return any phone calls.I believe [redacted] sold the two dresses and owes me a portion of the revenue.Overall, I believe this business should be shut down as the [redacted] is dishonest and a cheat.Desired Settlement: I want to be compensated for the 2 dressed I believe [redacted] sold, and I would like to see [redacted]'s business closed as she is not a reputable business woman.

Response:

When the customer came to the store looking for her dresses she was told that we still needed to look further through our inventory and stock room for 2 dresses. She was informed that if they had been sold we would send her a check. We told her that the checks are sent out once a month in the beginning of the month. There has been a slight delay because the accountant who writes the checks has been out with the flu. Her check will be sent when he is back from his illness. I seems a little extreme that as a settlement she would like to see the business closed. Most consignment shops hold onto the items for 6 months and when they don't sell in that time the items are donated. We left her dresses on the floor taking up space, sales help time and continued trying to sell them for her. This woman is angry that the items she no longer wanted did not sell.
