Ninja Sushi

Review: This is a complaint regarding the "sushi" restaurant referred to as Ninja. The restaurant is located on Oak St in New Orleans, LA. Last night on May 1, 2014 I attempted to order Sushi online using their online ordering service, the attempt was not successful due to their poor website, which btw was poorly built and organized. The order portions were not specified and you were unable to order items under a certain price amount. After failing to order my food online, my roommate stopped by to pick up the food on his way home, I had not been able to order yet so I did so when he arrived over the phone. I ordered one "rainbow roll" and one "ninja roll", miso soup and a iced green tea. When my roommate arrived home with the order I decided to try the "ninja roll", as I opened the Togo box I immediately smelt fish I have been eating sushi for years and you SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO SMELL YOUR FISH, it should be a faint sweet aroma, FRESH. I couldn't get past the smell, I tried the roll and after 3 bites I had to spit the roll out. The texture was off, most sushi rolls are filled with a California roll mixture, and the was horrible. After spitting the food out, I wanted to return the food and possibly get something different or get a refund on our food. The miso soup and green tea was fine. My roommate and I drove up to Ninja, walked in and spoke to young girl behind the bar about our issues, she apparently had no customer service skills and almost immediately opted to get the owner. The owner comes to the bar already distraught, she never says hello, what can I help you with, NOTHING. She asks me "what I need", I explained very calmly and respectfully that I didn't enjoy the product and she within seconds got defensive. Told me she couldn't help me, she eats sushi everyday, I explained to her that it didn't taste very fresh, she argued with me telling me that it was. I didn't want to argue, I didn't enjoy the sushi, I ate one piece, spent more than $30 on food and want to enjoy it. My roommate tipped.Desired Settlement: We'll, she offered %50 refund, we were not satisfied with that, we weren't going to eat the food. The owner walks away, and out comes some outraged man, cussing, and screaming telling us to get the F out, or he is calling the cops. He tries to take the food we paid for, I was not having that. I am outraged and appalled that business's can manage to keep there doors open when they treat guests that way, not only that but I am a person who deserve just as much respect as anyone else. Refund me!
