I contacted [redacted] to service my hair needs. I purchased hair from her as well as paid for the actual service. I paid over $300 for the hair. She guaranteed that the hair was of high quality. That the hair would not shed tangle and be grade 7A hair. However, after wearing the hair for less than one week, the hair began to shed and tangle. I took very good care of the hair, doing whatever necessary. The shedding started off at a reasonable amount, however now the hair is ridiculous. I can brush my hair in the morning or throughout the day and my whole counter is filed with hair. The day of my actual service [redacted] was running behind, which was a big inconvenience to me. I asked for a net and she gave me a stocking cap. Everything seemed fine. After a day or so I did ask if I could come back so that she could put some layers in my hair as it was very un-natural looking. I came back a few days later and she layered my hair and curled it. The hair style was very cute. Then within the next few days, I found a lot of issues with my hair. The entire cap was rising in the back and the cap had several holes. Also, nothing was attached to my hair and it felt like I had a wig on. There were several wefts lifted and showing. I tried everything I knew how to camaflouge it. I sent [redacted] several pictures of the problems. I requested a refund and never received a response back. I couldnt be more frustrated and disappointed. I made the biggest mistake possible. Walking around with such terrible style in sew in was never in my plans. I will never ever go back to her. I referred several other people to her based off how things were in the beginning days. Now, I wouldnt wish my worst enemy to her.I wish her the very best. However, I would like a full refund of the services and move forward.I now have to find another stylist and come out of my pocket with additional money. After several reasonable attempts to resolve [redacted] issue there was no compromising with her. In the complaint she mentions that she had issues with the quality of the hair but yet when she contacted me originally her biggest complaint was the install itself because she was able to see the brown cap that was used to protect her hair. I offered to redo the install free of charge because my policy is and always has been no refunds on hair purchases or the service charge. When she originally came to get her hair done I was in the process of renovating my current salon so I installed her hair at my home. By the time all of the issues arose with her installation I had moved back into the salon and told her that she would need to come here for the service which she refused to do because it was said to be a inconvenience for her because of the distance from the salon to her home; the salon is easily accessible from I-440 which turns into I-40 and takes you back to Durham which is where she currently resides. I am still willing to redo the install as she has requested but stand firm in my decision to not refund her the already discounted price of $135. The hair that I used on [redacted] is the same brand that I use with all my clients including the celebrity clients I work with and have never had the complaint she has regarding the shedding. All hair including that of our natural hair is subject to some shedding at times; she has even referred friends to me that have come and gotten their hair done and I have yet to hear any complaints or dissatisfaction from their experience with me and this took place shortly after [redacted] visit. I actually have all the text messages and photos that she sent and have included the text messages with my response.Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my side of this unfortunate situation. As I do know any complaint especially for a small business can be detrimental to the future success of my business and hinder the growth of my clientele but I stand by my work and the hair that I offer to my clients. If she is willing to come back to have the install redone I am all for doing that.Consumer Response The quality of the hair as well as the service is beyond unacceptable. The hair sheds entirely too much. I did share this with [redacted]. The quality of the service was terrible. I sent several pictures to her so that she would have proof of her terrible work. Just because no one had complained before does not mean my complaint is not valid. After I paid her for the hair and service I had to then turn around and spend more money to get someone else to do it over. I do not and did not want her to redo it again because if this is her idea of a great job, I'll always continue to get the same quality of service. A service that is well below acceptable. Ar this point I am still requesting a refund. If this can't be done I'll proceed to file another claim and I will taking this to small claims court. This is ridiculous.
