October 3, 2017To Whom It May Concern:This letter is in response to complaint #[redacted] filed with you concerning a 2007 Nissan [redacted]. The vehicle was brought in to our facility by [redacted] Auto Center. The representative there was [redacted]. There were ONLY 2 concerns that were given by...

[redacted], a Recall on the vehicle and the ABS and Traction lights were coming on. There had been a previous repair made by another shop, the speed sensor had been replaced. There was NO complaint or concern relayed to us about an issue with the transmission.We ran a diagnostic test on the Nissan [redacted]. It was diagnosed with 8 faults of which 6 were current or "0" counts. 2 faults were past, not current. The ABS fault was a [redacted]-Engine Signal 1. This corresponds with the Engine fault [redacted]-Camshaft Sensor/Circuit-6.1. The diagnostic test was performed for the [redacted] fault and the Bank 1 intake valve timing was 7 degrees. The Bank 2 intake valve timing was at 2 degrees. The engine timing was 5 degrees different from bank 1 to bank 2. We installed a new camshaft position sensor and still had the same readings. This indicates the timing in bank 1 had jumped out of timing which was causing the [redacted] fault. The ABS system gets its engine speed from the Electronic Control Module which gets its signal from the Camshaft sensor. At that point it was recommended to replace the timing chains and associated parts. We obtained authorization from [redacted] Auto Center and replaced the timing chains. After this work was completed, the faults were erased from the computer and road-tested. The computer was tested again and no faults returned. At that point [redacted] picked up the vehicle.Steven V
