AWFUL! That's how I would describe the service and professionalism of this particular dealership (Nissan of Middletown on Route 17) and CorporateThe only time we were treated with respect was when we bought our brand spanking new Nissan Quest with miles on the odometerWe bought it because we knew it would fit our needs, both my wife and myself are disabled and we still have children who are still in school (elementary through college) so we use this vehicle everyday several times a day
Soon after we bought it we noticed it would shimmy when going up a small hillWe live upstate so very small hills are everywhereWe took it back after having it a week and at first they said it was because it was new, all the screws and joints had to lubricate themselves as we drove the car and the issue would resolve itself, to give it another week's timeWe took it back weeks later and they told us to leave it so a technician could take it home and drive it overnight to test drive itI got a call the same day and he asked me if I had ever noticed when I hit my brakes it also shaked
Because of this assessment they kept my car for days and put in the front passenger axleNow my car not only shimmies while going up a hill but also shakes and rattles when I make left turnsI have gone back only to receive unprofessional rolling of the eyes and be treated as a nuisanceI would like this to be resolved but it seems they believe it has been since they removed a new axle and replaced it with a new one and gave me another problemThat, my friends, is problem + problems Nissan gave me = problems I now have! 1/**/update .....now at miles took the van in for service for the front end makeing a sound and they came back with that I need new tires and a alignment because I never rotate my tires what the tires only have miles this is how nissan kia of middletown ny treats they customer after they get your money if you dont like it go some where else shame on you nissan kia of middletown ny rt m update soon again bad business 1/**/STILL NO UPDATE FROM NISSAN OR NISSAN OFFICE OR THE OWNER MR G*** SHAME ON YOUR NISSAN WHEN I GET A FEED BACK I WILL UPDATE IT HERE 1/STILL NOTING SHAME SHAME ON YOU NISSAN update 1/**/YOU THINK NISSAN KIA OF MIDDLETOWN NY WILL CALL ME AND TALK TO ME LIKE LETS WORK THIS OUT OOOOOO NO NOTING STILL WAITING ON NISSAN MAIN OFFICE THEY GOT THE MONEY SHAME SHAME ON YOU NISSAN KIA OF MIDDLETOWN NY

Prior to getting a letter from the Revdex.com on this matter. The customer took us to small claims court in the town of Middletown, NY where a judge ruled in our favor. He told her she was wasting her time and that when we traded her out of the car we went over and above what our obligation to her was.
I consider the matter closed
Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
The judge did not say I was wasting my time.  He advised that unfortunately I had no legal recourse. As I stated in my original complaint, I expected no other response from the dealership.  But, they did not go "above and beyond."  They went below.  The proper thing would have been to refund the cost of the original auto in its entirety as they sold us a defective auto for which the dealership fraudulently passed the required NYS inspection.  Rather they told us to "trade the auto to another dealership without advising them of the problems." They did not reimburse us for the time and effort as they claimed in court.
Unfortunately, we did not have the resources to take the dealership to court.   It would have cost us more in legal fees than we would have gained.  And we needed a vehicle immediately - and the original auto in question was unsafe to operate.
My intention is to have it recorded that Nissan of Middletown is a dealership that lies and cheats their customers.  They are the epitome of  sleazy auto dealerships.  Not only should they be investigated by NYS for fraudulently inspecting autos that are unsafe to operate but no one should have to go thru what we went thru.  If the dealership spent half as much effort on satisfying customers as they did defending themselves against these accusations, they would have no problems.
I only hope that this reporting will prevent some unsuspecting future customers of this dealership from making the mistake we made by walking through their door and trusting that the Nissan name meant something.
Thank you

AWFUL! That's how I would describe the service and professionalism of this particular dealership (Nissan of Middletown on Route 17) and Corporate. The only time we were treated with respect was when we bought our brand spanking new 2015 Nissan Quest with 11 miles on the odometer. We bought it because we knew it would fit our needs, both my wife and myself are disabled and we still have 4 children who are still in school (elementary through college) so we use this vehicle everyday several times a day.

Soon after we bought it we noticed it would shimmy when going up a small hill. We live upstate so very small hills are everywhere. We took it back after having it a week and at first they said it was because it was new, all the screws and joints had to lubricate themselves as we drove the car and the issue would resolve itself, to give it another week's time. I got a call the same day and he asked me if I had ever noticed when I hit my brakes it also shaked.

Because of this assessment they kept my car for 7 days and put in the front passenger axle. Now my car not only shimmies while going up a hill but also shakes and rattles when I make left turns. I have gone back only to receive unprofessional rolling of the eyes and be treated as a nuisance. I would like this to be resolved but it seems they believe it has been since they removed a new axle and replaced it with a new one and gave me another problem. That, my friends, is 1 problem + 2 problems Nissan gave me = 3 problems I now have! 1/**/2016 update .....now at 8200 miles took the van in for service for the front end makeing a sound and they came back with that I need new tires and a alignment because I never rotate my tires what the tires only have 8200 miles this is how nissan kia of middletown ny treats they customer after they get your money if you dont like it go some where else shame on you nissan kia of middletown ny rt 17 m update soon again bad business 1/**/2016 STILL NO UPDATE FROM NISSAN OR NISSAN OFFICE OR THE OWNER MR G[redacted] SHAME ON YOUR NISSAN WHEN I GET A FEED BACK I WILL UPDATE IT HERE 1/28 2016 STILL NOTING SHAME SHAME ON YOU NISSAN update 1/**/2016 YOU THINK NISSAN KIA OF MIDDLETOWN NY WILL CALL ME AND TALK TO ME LIKE LETS WORK THIS OUT OOOOOO NO NOTING STILL WAITING ON NISSAN MAIN OFFICE THEY GOT THE MONEY SHAME SHAME ON YOU NISSAN KIA OF MIDDLETOWN NY

Review: On July **, 2014, I went to the Nissan Kia of Middletown dealership in [redacted] after making an appointment with [redacted] about 2 vehicles I had seen on their website. Upon arriving, I had met with [redacted] who informed me the 2010 Kia Forte Koup advertised for $9,997 I had inquired about was totaled in a previous customer test drive. The other vehicle I inquired about was a 2010 Kia Soul advertised for $11,999. [redacted] appraised my trade, a 1994 Ford Escort, for $500 and said he might buy it as a "commuter car" for himself. I proceeded to test drive the Kia Soul and asked about financing for the advertised price and [redacted] stated we would, "look at the numbers." After finishing the test drive, I displayed my interest in the vehicle and [redacted] left to speak with the finance department. [redacted] came back out to me and took me to the finance department to meet [redacted] the [redacted]. [redacted] told me my payment would be $242 a month and shoved papers my way and told me to sign at all the x's. While switching papers, he told me about the warranty and the GAP insurance and said they were included in the monthly payment he gave me once I entered. [redacted] kept switching paperwork for me to sign which I found out later is a tactic called "shell gaming." After signing, [redacted] told me the loan term was for 84 months and quickly changed the conversation. I left with the vehicle and had a friend look over the paperwork with me. They charged me $13,999, not the advertised price of $11,999, and added $2,390 for the warranty and $150 for the GAP insurance. I called the dealership immediately to have them correct the issue and [redacted] would not return my messages. I called the next morning and spoke to an [redacted] ([redacted]) and he rudely told me I signed a contract and there is nothing they will do for me. [redacted] called me a few hours later and said he spoke to a [redacted] ([redacted]) who said he'd refund me $500. I declined and said I would go there in person to speak to [redacted] the next day. I drove 30 minutes to the dealership to meet [redacted] when I was then told upon arrival he was off (after [redacted] told me he would be there). I called again the next day and finally spoke to [redacted]. He said all he would do for me is refund me $500 and fix the A/C cluster, adjust the parking brake, and replace the tint on the window they damaged with their sales sticker. [redacted] would not talk anymore about the issue. Everyone at the dealership was completely rude and kept giving me the run around. The original 2010 Kia Forte I first inquired about was later listed on their site as SOLD after I was told it was totaled.Desired Settlement: I would like my full refund of the money I am due. I cancelled the warranty since it was NOT included like I was told. I want the difference back from the amount of $13,999 plus tax they charged me and the advertised price of $11,999 minus the $500 check they refunded me without my approval. I am owed $1,500 plus sales tax.

Sincerely,

Review: I financed my first vehicle, a 2011 Mazda Mazda2, on Tuesday, August *th, 2013. Upon further inspection, I realized that the tires were nearly bald, with little tread remaining. I spoke to Sales Manager [redacted] and he claimed that they would pass inspection. When I spoke to several other resources (e.g. a different dealership and a mechanic) they informed me that the tires would either barely pass inspection or would fail completely. As a customer of Nissan/ Kia, I do not find it fair that new tires were not put on this vehicle. I suspect that these tires are the original tires, and I think this vehicle should have been sold with new ones. I intend to contact the Revdex.com because I feel that I have been treated unfairly.Desired Settlement: Replacement of ALL 4 BALD tires.

Response:

The law in NY is clear on what tire life is and how much tread life passes inspection. in the case of Mrs [redacted] her car tires passed inspection. When she called and complained about it after the fact we sent her an email and agreed as a gesture of good will to replace two of the tires. She chose not to have us do that but to instead call the Revdex.com for 4 new ones. We do not Owe Mrs [redacted] the tires but are still willing to buy 2 new ones for her. We are

not willing to replace 4 tires. Mrs [redacted] can contact me directly if she would like me to go ahead and replace the

2 tires for her

Thank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

p.s I would like to add that no email was sent to me regarding the replacement of two new tires, but I choose to accept the replacement tires

Sincerely,

Review: On Saturday September [redacted], myself and my father ([redacted], whom I am representing in this letter), went to the Nissan Kia of Middletown dealership after receiving a letter in the mail stating we are pre-qualified to take advantage of their vehicle buy back/Early lease termination event. Upon entering the dealership we were greeted by a man asking if he can help us. We told him that we are here because of the letter that we received about the early lease termination and would like to take advantage of that as it is only happing that weekend. We told him we have had the car for about 16 months. Immediately, without even looking at out letter he said “that is only for vehicles that have 6 months remaining on this lease.” We told him that is not what the flyer states, no place on the given flyer does it have any 6 month condition listed. Then he rudely said to us “oh everyone get those mailings.” I told him that was not an acceptable answer who can we talk to. We were directed to a gentleman behind a desk in the showroom. Upon telling him the issue that we had with the salesman he said he couldn’t not help us and reiterated what the salesman said. We were then asked what we wanted to do. We told him again, that we would like to take advantage of the deal mentioned in the flyer and have the dealership buy back the vehicle and end our lease. Then we were asked if we are going to purchase another Nissan to which we said we were not interested in doing that. Then the man told us “you can not do that, you have to get another Nissan” and tossed the flyer we gave him back at us without reading it. We then had to read to this man (who refused to identify himself) what the flyer said “ We are very interested in purchasing your current vehicle, whether or not you wish to buy, finance or lease a new Kia, Nissan or certified pre-owned vehicle.” The man had no reply to this, and then said he will see if the dealership is interested in buying the vehicle back. I was asked a few questions about my vehicle and my mileage while he entered the information in the computer for calcualtion. We were told that we would have to pay approximately $4,709.96 if we would like to exit the lease. Again I told him that was not acceptable what else can he do. He replied “there is nothing else”. I asked him if we could give us his card and please sign the buy-back quote, which he had given us. He refused to do both and gave us another employees card say that it was this other employee that approved this quote.Desired Settlement: My wishes are that Nissan will honor this letter, and let us end the lease early without incurring any early termination charges or hidden feeds. Additionally, when the car is inspected at the end of the lease, I now feel that the dealership will inspect the car with extreme bias and not honestly inspect this car. I would like to be guaranteed a fair end of lease inspection and not have this dealership state multiple problems with the car to make some money at the lease. Our family has owned Nissan for years and after this event, it is highly unlikely that we would buy from them again or recommend their cars to anyone.

Response:

I was called and asked by a rep for the Revdex.com before a complant was filed. I explained that in BIG RED LETTERS in the middle of the page it stated that there was a nissan pull 3 month pull ahead program...the rep said "oh I see what you mean"...this customer has more than three lease payments left so the pull ahead program does not apply to them under Nissan North America program guidlines.

As far as I am Concerned the matter is closed

Also, the customer has not reason to worry about lease end charges for dammage or other since Nissan used and independent 3rd party co to inspect the car . No Nissan dealership inspects any lease return.
