Review: I purchased an SUV (Rogue) from the Nissan Manhattan dealership that included LoJack and Tire & Wheel/Cosmetic coverage. The salesman specifically said to me to "hold on to the tire & wheel agreement; scan copies". Which I did. The dealership closed in August of 2014 and now the tire and wheel agreement isn't honored by any other dealership. I've reached out to Manhattan Consumer affairs to cancel the agreement and to get a refund of $842. Nissan Cancellation dept. tells me that they I'm not in their system. However, I have the agreement and the purchase invoice that states that I have tire and wheel coverage. I've been given the runaround by Nissan since April [redacted]. Additionally, the salesman told me that I would receive a discount with my insurance company if I purchased the LoJack (that cost of $1195). My insurance company would not lower the premium because of the LoJack.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund for the two items purchased that are not being honored by other Nissan dealerships and my insurance company. Additionally, I believe that on the whole, Nissan knew that the dealership was going to close as it was replaced with an Infinity dealership.

Review: I was beyond excited about my Nissan Altima purchase until I realized all the shady business the dealership did with my deal. Apparently my car comes with 2 keys. It would have been super nice if they had informed me of that. Instead they swept the fact that the car even comes with another key under the rug. And when I called about it they were rude and told me that the car was sold as is but I can purchase a second key. Also, they don't know where the other key is but if someone does have the key there is a chance that they can steal my car with it so if I want to come back to get the car reprogrammed I can pay to get that service done. Better than the key issue is that they told me the loan was through TD auto finance yet there seems to be a discrepancy with who the loan is with. They refused to help me rectify the problem. Now if there are issues with the loan and bank I have to go through all of the dmv changes, headaches and bank issues to correct the lien holder on my title. This was all after waiting a week and a half before actually reaching a sales person and [redacted]. I will never recommend this dealership or these people to anyone. Worst experience ever.Desired Settlement: I would like a second key as the car should have came with 2 keys and that information was not provided to me.

Review: On 12/**I looked at a vehicle for sale at Nissan of Manhattan. The sales woman ([redacted]) told me that I could place a $200 deposit on the vehicle and take some time to think about it. If I decided not to take it I could just let her know and they would release the funds and the vehicle. I emailed her on 12/**and let her know that we were going to pass on the vehicle and to release the funds. After several days and still no refund I emailed her again. She said she would place the refund request with accounting and that I would receive it by Friday 01/**at the latest (a week later) due to the holiday. On 01/**I emailed and asked for a status update. No response. I emailed again on 01/**and finally got a response. She asked me to send her my credit card information. I responded with the last 4 digits and the expiration date. She responded that she needed the entire number. I wrote back and said I was uncomfortable sending my credit card information over an email and that I didn't understand why this was even required. I had the invoice number that I could send that had a record of the payment. She said that would not help accounting locate the charge and that I needed to "have patience" since it would take extra time for accounting to find the charge without the card number. I replied that I was out of patience and that I needed my card refunded by EOD Thursday, 48 hours later or I would charge back on my credit card and contact the Revdex.com. I told them that I have been a loyal customer of this dealership (it is where I bought my current vehicle and where I take it for service) and that they were in jeopardy of loosing my business. I sent this email to the sales manager and then forwarded it the GM of the dealership. I received no response from anyone.Desired Settlement: I would like my money refunded immediately. I have already begun the process of disputing the charge on my credit card. Additionally, if they want me back as a customer an apology and additional concessions would be appreciated. Otherwise, I will take my future business elsewhere.

Review: Very unprofessional in the sense that they lured me in with false hopes, had me put a deposit down, and dont return calls or emails. I was contacted by a woman named India at the dealership regarding my interest in a Maxima. I was not optimistic and explained to her that I had a bad experience with another one of their dealerships in nj. She assured me they were different and would treat me with respect. I explained I would give them a chance but I didnt want to take a trip there for nothing that I would like to have the deal basically made before I went out of my way such a far distance to be there for hours. I was assured that she would be there and that her manager [redacted] had seen my credit and my income and was confident that a deal could be made. So I went, 2 trains and along walking distance one way because I anticipated driving the car home. When I arrived I was greeted my [redacted] and I explained I was looking for India. She wasnt there and I explained to [redacted] that India had spoken to their manager that I had everything ready. Well after she confirmed with her manager, she returns and tells me he is going to try to get me 6% because he has seen my income and credit. But the banks were closed by then so I had to call back tomorrow. But not before being told I should leave a $500 deposit. So I did, and she showed me the car than off I went empty handed. I return home and the next day was Christmas eve and cindy had told me she was working that day and to call her. I called and called and left vmails and finally she answered my call to tell me that I could only get approved if I left a much larger downpayment. That the bank capped me. Their FINANCE MANAGER saw my credit and I gave paystubs and bank statements. Their manager [redacted] I am sure is capable of determining a deal when he sees one and he said to her that I shouldnt be a problem. [redacted] than told me the car was out of my league. I found this very insulting and Demeaning. I asked for a manager the general manager noone respondedDesired Settlement: I would like to be given the rate and term promised to me and an appology by the entire management and and sales team, specifically [redacted] and India. Her comment made me very uneasy and disrespected. Not to mention being ignored like that. Its just not right to be lied to than insulte insultd than ignored.

Sincerely,

Review: I was shopping for cars from Dealerrater site and I liked 2 cars at Nissan of Manhattan, A Murano and Altima both are 2010, their advertised price was $19067 for the Murano and $ 15123 for the Altima. I spend a lot of time in my research, I took time off and went to the dealer and after seeing both cars , I wanted to buy both . I was surprised that he did not honor the prices advertised in the site and blame Dealerrater completely for this mistake, he insisted that the Murano is $22,062 and the Altima $18,118 .I see this as kind of bait and switch . I ended up buying the Murano only, based on the high price because I liked the car but can’t afford almost $6000 extra for both cars. I contacted Dealerrater who informed that they rent the space for the Dealer and he put his prices and that Nissan Of Manhattan is solely responsible for this false advertisement price. I contacted Nissan USA and sent an official complaint they contacted me and gave me Case # [redacted], I called the customer represantative more than once since that time and no one returning my calls. A misprint cannot be in all cars. I have the print out of the advertisement for both cars the one I bought and the other(I can fax them or E-mail them when required).Desired Settlement: The Dealer should honor his advertisement and refund me the difference of $2995 I paid extra for the car.

Review: They said they would return my $2000 down payment within 24-48 hours on 7/*/14 and they have failed to do so as of five business days later. Now, they are leaving me on hold for 10 minutes to never return to the phone, "dropping" my calls, telling me they'll call me back and then suddenly "out of the office on a family emergency for the rest of the week" and giving me other excuses. However, what they haven't given me is my money.Desired Settlement: My money refunded to my account ASAP.

Sincerely,

Review: On ** August 2012 Nissan of Manhattan called to tell me they had the specific car I was looking for and requested my presence as soon as possible;

On * September 2012 I visited the dealership and realized there was no vehicle there. Then I am informed that if I sign the purchase agreement they will provide me the car in 3 days. I agree under one condition. If the don't I need to be compensated. Then they change the from ** to [redacted] and promise to deliver the car on or before ** September. I pay $1,000. There is also a provision on the purchase agreement saying that if the car is not available a rental vehicle will be provided by the dealership until the car arrives.

On ** September 2012, neither the vehicle nor the rental are provided. I was informed then that the car had to be ordered and produced since there was no such car available in the tri-state area. I am further informed that the if I decide to proceed the car would no earlier than November.

I went home and the same night I found the car (the non-existent car) 75miles away. I contacted the dealer and purchased the car.

Nissan of Manhattan never reimbursed the $1,000 security deposit.Desired Settlement: A refund of $1,500 is requested considering the time passed and the expenses incurred (rental cars, taxi and pick-up of a car 75mi away).
