BEWARE of the service department I purchased a new Nissan from this dealership and utilized the complimentary oil change service The purchase experience was decent overall with some typical bait and switch tricks and extra charges slipped in at the end The real issue came in when I brought my new car in for an oil change Everything seemed to go as planned until my car was parked out from and told that it was ready I proceeded to drive off and realized that the bright red check engine light was on This is a final warning light which has serious implications I honestly cannot believe the dealership would try to send someone on the road in this condition Keep in mind, this was a practically new car which had no issues or lights going into the dealership It appears that the mechanic forgot to put oil into the engine when he did the maintenance I brought this to the service managers attention and they really showed little interest They ended up putting oil in the car and made up an excuse about an oil sensor Since they were obviously just going to play games with me, I visited Mike [redacted] (General manager) the next day to discuss what had happened He was somewhat responsive, even though he basically took my information down on a napkin He said that he would investigate what happened and get back to me which he never did I called a couple of time and left messages and still no response They completely wrote me off, even the General manager of all people With that said, I have never been back since and have forfeited the remainder of my oil changes I feel that having this dealership perform the service is more of a liability to my car than it is worth I would definitely NOT recommend this service department to anyone who values their car and safety Sorry, first time I have ever written a review or had this time of issue with anyone, so this is very disappointing I have since moved on and hope that others will take caution from my experience

Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/09/24) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] - Manager Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: ***@nissanofstcharles.com [redacted] came to the dealership on September 5th with the intention of purchasing a vehicleHer credit was ran to know if she qualified for 0% financingA credit statement was taken and run to determine if she qualified I spoke with [redacted] and explained the aboveAlso said that we would submit, on her behalf, a request to the credit reporting agency to see if they could remove the inquiryShe was happy with that Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (2000, 7, 2015/09/25) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.) I acceot the response from the companyHOWEVER, I would like to clarify, that the salesman and manager I spoke with regarding purchasing a car (with a [redacted] certificate) would not offer me 0% financing with the [redacted] priceI was told that I cannot have bothSo they ran my credit, still with no authorizationRegardless of what my credit score was, they would not allow 0% financing with the [redacted] priceI accept that the dealership would submit a request to the credit reporting company to have that inquiry removedBut I would like it known that my credit WAS NOT run to see if I was qualifiedI spoke with the salesman on the phone a couple days later from my initial visit (after my credit was run) , he said he could offer me 2.99% financingIn no circumstance did they inform me that they ran it to see my eligibilityIf they did run it for eligibility, I would have been offered 0%, not 2.99%I went to a different nissan dealership a couple weeks later to purchase a car and was offered 0% financing based on my credit with no issue

I received a letter in the mail from this dealership claiming that I was pre approved for a certain amountKnowing that this was just a way to get me into the dealership to see if I can get into a vehicle, I called the number in the letter to see what it wasI left my number, after being told I approved, to be called backI get a call from David Jenkins telling me that they personally researched my situation and that their delarship could helpI was assured that they would be able to get me into a new vehicle and I have proof if thisI told David that Th dealership was minutes from me and over milesI told him that I didn't want to waste my time, gas, and milesI took David's word that I would be able to get into a new car and traded out of my ownI get to the dealership, after driving so far to get there in traffic, to be denied in less than minutesTo only be told exactly what I knewThis dealership has not only lied, but completely waste my timeI was also promised that I would get a seasoned salesman to only get there and work with a childI recommend this dealership to NO one because they will waste your time

A payoff was finally received on 6/17/I still think someone needs to be looking into this issue with this dealerThis has apparently happened to several other people and it is probably happening to other people nowIt should never have taken over months for them to pay off my loan and I am still annoyed that I had to spend a great deal of time fixing a situation that should not have happened
