I would like to respond to the complaint launched by *** ** ***Mr*** was seen
for a comprehensive eye examHis reason for visit was: New patient eye exam, diabetic, diagnosed with *** last year at an appointment with another eye doctor, ** seems ok, ** off and some *** w/*** *** His final diagnosis were *** *** *** *** *** *** *** * *** *** without complications, Age-related *** *** *** and *** *** *** ***
After the exam at check out, our employee ask him for his copay that is stated on his card for a specialistHe paid the and then went home and became upset about the copayHe stated that he was told when he made the appointment that he would not be charged a copay and after speaking with the employee who made the appointment did not state thatAfter reading his review on ***, I called the patient to talk to him about his appointment and he hung up on me.
On 3/18/2016, we received the EOB from *** and they did not charge the patient a copayI spoke to *** and it was correct because of his diabetic diagnosisI called Mr. *** to tell him that he would be receiving a check for The check went out in the mail on 3/19/He stated that he would amend his review to Yelp and I am hoping he will do the same to Revdex.com.

w/[redacted] His final diagnosis were [redacted] without complications, Age-related [redacted] and [redacted] After the exam at check out, our employee ask him for his 35.00 copay that is stated on his card for a specialist. He paid the 35.00 and then went home and became upset about the copay. He stated that he was told when he made the appointment that he would not be charged a copay and after speaking with the employee who made the appointment did not state that. After reading his review on [redacted], I called the patient to talk to him about his appointment and he hung up on me. On 3/18/2016, we received the EOB from [redacted] and they did not charge the patient a copay. I spoke to [redacted] and it was correct because of his diabetic diagnosis. I called Mr. [redacted] to tell him that he would be receiving a check for 35.00. The check went out in the mail on 3/19/2016. Review: Although the facilities, equipment, assistants, and Doctor were professional, when I called for an appointment they told me my insurance covered the exam. When I was finished with the exam and went to check out, the girl at the counter said I had to pay a $35 co-pay because my exam involved a "medical" determination. The doctor never told me that ahead of time. He never mentioned anything having to do with billing.

I Posted a negative review on [redacted] about this rip-off. Next, I got a message from Nancy at Nittany Eye after she saw this review Posted. I called her back and she said the "Doctor" said he was clear about giving me a Medical Exam. No, he said NOTHING about the exam being anything other than what my Primary Care Physician asked me to get for his records. An additional co-pay charge was NEVER brought up and it sounds like Nancy was playing the blame game. I told her I wanted a copy of my Prescription mailed to me. The Doctor never told me what the pressure was in my eyes they got from my Glaucoma test. So far, all I have received from Nittany Eye was a $35 co-pay for no services rendered.Desired Settlement: I want a Refund of $35.00.
