told the client that we cannot remove that section of drywall because of the mold and it would have to be removed to make a diagnosis on what was leaking. He then went upstairs to both bathrooms and ran water in each room. Water did not show up at this time and without opening the ceiling there was no way to provide an accurate quote for any repair. The second unit, which was across the street, had a section of ceiling that had either been removed or fallen due to damage from water. Our tech ran water on the tub above and provided the customer a quote to replace the spout on the tub. The customer decided not to go with our quote and our tech charged them for the two evaluation/ dispatch fees that are $39.95 each instead of charging for a single inspection fee that would have been $89.95.
