BodyGuardz offers free replacements through our website We don't require proof of purchase to order a replacement so anyone can create an account on our website and register a product and then order a free replacement for it without ever having actually purchased the product This is one of the reasons we ask that the customer send the old protector back within days If we do not receive the old protector back within days we send a reminder email Tracking is not required when sending these back, but we do recommend it Unfortunately, we never received the old protector back from this customer and so they were charged full price for the replacement In order to verify proof of purchase we asked to see an image of the original receipt Once we received this back we issued a refund for 50% of the charge The refund was processed on our end and completed by our accounting department on September 7th Time will vary depending on the customers bank as to how soon the credit will show back on the customers account, but it is typically anywhere from 5-business daysIf you have any additional questions please let us know

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:After accepting the company’s offer to send a pre-paid label to return the product they called and withdrew their offerThey stated the reason is because of the dispute with American Express which they knew about from ongoing complaintsThe company representative said they are going to dispute the charge back from American Express and if there was a refund they would minus the $merchant dispute fee from the refund.I called American Express and updated them on the situation, American Express informed me that the merchant cannot pass the merchant dispute fee on to customersThe refund must be for the disputed amount of $If they do not refund, American Express said I can reopen another dispute and the merchant would be charged the merchant dispute fee againThe merchant fee is in place because the company did not do their job and take care of the customer Sincerely, [redacted]

To whom it may concern,We received an email from this customer on February 11th, I do show that we responded to her on February 13th, explaining what this charge was for We do keeps logs of all phone calls we receive and I was not able to find a call from the number she listed above In her email to us she mentioned calling us at the number 801-331-and left a message This is not our number which is most likely why we don't have record of a phone call BodyGuardz offers free replacements on our screen protectors Once a customer has purchased a screen protector at full price from either or website or from a reseller they are then able to register that on our website and order replacements for that The replacements are free, but the customer does cover the $shipping and handling fee We don't require proof of purchase when you register or order a replacement so we do ask that once the customer places an order for a replacement that they send their old screen protector back within days of placing that orderThe replacement protector that they order will come with an envelope for to send the old protector back with If we don't receive the old protector back within this time then the customer is charged full price for that order Throughout the order process it is stated several times that you have to send the old protector back within days or you are charged full price for that replacement order You also have to check a box stating that you agree to the terms and conditions of the Advantage Replacements policy before you can even complete the orderSo we do our best to get the word out there regarding that If we haven't received the old protector back within days we send a reminder as a courtesy that we have not received the old protector back and if we don't receive it back within the allotted time then you will be charged for that replacementThe customer placed an order on November 26th, for a replacement protector We never received the old protector back and so the customer was charged full price for that replacement If the customer contacts us before the days are up we are happy to work with them on a solution so that they are not charged We are willing to make an exception since this is the first replacement for the customer If she can email an image of the receipt showing the original proof of purchase from AT&T we are happy to refund that charge for her She can email that receipt to [email protected] and reference the order number [redacted] AT&T will usually have these receipts on file and can usually email a copy to the customer Please contact us with any additional questionsBest,Customer Care

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: it is clear that this company is bogus and deceptive They offer a lifetime warranty but don't tell you that they don't stand by the product and if it fails in two months, then buyer beware They don't tell you that their product free 'replacement' costs more than half of the cost, and when I say I just want a refund from this faulty product, they refuse They got my money, and they will probably get many more, but I hope that some buyers will see this and realize that this company is a loser with a lousy product to sell and a business ethic that is worthy of the best on Wall Street "I'll get mine and I don't care who I screw." The apartment number was not included in the shipping address and so the order was never delivered Tracking on October 6th shows that this is was out for delivery to be returned to us, but has not been updated as delivered The product that was ordered was a free replacement There was a $fee for the shipping We don't refund shipping and so there would be nothing to refund when or if the order is received back However, in order to receive the free replacement you do have to return the old protector within days or you will be charged full price for the replacement Because the customer has not received this order we have noted this so that she is not charged full price for the product A new order can be placed at anytime with the correct address

BodyGuardz offers free replacements for screen protectors You can create an account and register your product at anytime and then if you ever need to replace your protector you can just login to your account and place an order through our website The replacement itself is free and then
the customer just pays the shipping and handling fee for $ In order to make this process as easy as we can for the customer we do not require proof of purchase to register or order a replacement We do however ask that once the new protector arrives that you send the old protector back within days If we don't receive the old protector back then the customer is charged full price for that order We do not require tracking information, but it is recommended Once a customer files a chargeback we do have to wait until it has been settled by the bank before we can take futher action which is why we could not do anything at the time the customer contacted us We have gone ahead and issued a refund for the full amount of this charge, but replacements will not longer be available to order

We have gone ahead and issued a refund for half of the charge A refund in the amount of $will be credited back to your card Unfortunately, because there is no tracking information or any record of receiving this back we cannot issue a refund for the full amount

If you read there response they didn't say anything to try and resolve this problemDidn't offer a refund for defect product, didn't offer a replacement or anything They have very bad business skills and I wish for my complaint to be on there record.

We apologize if our response wasn't clear, we indeed did offer to replace the Pure tempered glass protector with a different material. We suggested the Ultra Tough, as this is made from a film and will not break with impact. However, it also will not offer the impact protection like the Pure does. The UltraTough Clear Skins screen protector is a urethane material.  This protector has tacky feel to it and is self healing.  This means that if the protector does get scratched, most small scratches and dings will work themselves out with time.  As stated before. the Pure breaking is not a defect in the glass, but the idea of the product. The Pure is designed to take the impact away from your phone, leaving the device protected underneath. If you are interested in trying the Ultra Tough material, please respond with your shipping address and we will gladly have a one time free replacement sent to you as a sign of good faith. I am rejecting this response because: Bodyguards response is completely unacceptable. Because of the misleading marketing and deficiencies of their product I am now left with a damaged cell phone. I paid over $800 for (plus the cost of their product which claimed to provide "unbeatable damage protection") this phone and only decided to buy their product because of how expensive this investment is. The company has even added a new product to their protectors that seems to be designed to prevent the very damage that happened to my phone! This clearly implies they were aware of the deficiencies but used misleading marketing to hide this flaw from their customers. They are aware of its deficiencies but do not want to claim the responsibility. They should have placed a honest warning on their product that protection was not absolute due to inadequate coverage and damage could and would occur. If you look at the numerous complains on Amazon.com you will see there are several customers with similar complaints against this company and their product. I hope that the Revdex.com will give this company the rating they deserve!
