I am rejecting this response because:
Skylight Trim: NMC’s position is misstatedI was not and am
still not satisfied with the workDuring the initial contract discussion we
visited the subject of the replacement impact of the new skylightNMC said it
would see what needed to be doneWhen brought to NMC’s attention I never
thought it would be hacked in, incomplete, and the work area in the garage left
a messWhile NMC feels it went over and above the what is stated in the
contract, in the final analysis, the work is substandard
Light Fixtures: NMC was notified of the two lights
Gutter Brackets: Included in my previous response was a
picture that showed a previous bracket-one of several-still in placeIt is
interesting that following the initial walkthrough of project prior to start of
the project, no mention was made of the gutter brackets needing to be replaced
Just complete the job you started
Rodent Issue: The rodents did not have to chew through
anything to gain entryIn fact, the specific opening in question and that
pictures have been submitted have shown, the rodent(s) never touched the
roofing materialThe job is not completedThere was no rodent problem for
almost years prior to the time NMC replaced the roof
While I do appreciate the initial follow up to the complaints, the
work was just not completedHad both light fixtures been repaired as stated,
the gutter brackets replacement completed, and the rodent issue resolved, this
complaint would not have occurred
Regarding ‘…another complaint around the corner.’, I’m
really, really disappointed to have read this
My position remains as is

After reviewing the complaint, discussing with our production manager, project manager, field supervisor and the proper sales representative (not Mr. [redacted]) we have addressed the alleged complaints below: ·        The skylight trim was not a part of the...

original estimate and/or the contract between NMC and Mr. [redacted].  As a courtesy, NMC installed cove molding at no extra charge.  All NMC vehicles are fully equipped which includes multiple ladders and necessary tools for any type of job.  This is the first NMC has heard of debris being left in the garage and we apologize if our field supervisor did not sweeping out the garage and for any inconvenience this caused Mr. [redacted].  The location of this skylight that NMC performed work on there is no access to the attic. ·        NMC was informed of one light fixture that fell, which can happen from normal roofing construction.  We sent a licensed electrician to fix this light fixture at no cost to the homeowner.  NMC has photo documentation of this light fixture.  This is the first NMC has heard of a second light fixture that fell.  NMC cannot be held responsible for normal maintenance that needs to be done to a home merely due to us replacing a roof. ·        NMC contract states:  “Contractor shall have no responsibility for correcting any existing defects which may be recognized during the course of the work or hidden or latent conditions of the property.”  The contract signed by Mr. [redacted] can be provided separately as we were only able to upload 4 attachments to this response. ·        NMC's Field Supervisor Lucas [redacted] recognized the missing gutter hangers during inspection and told Mr. [redacted] about them.  NMC immediately scheduled the gutter company to replace them and this was completed.  The existing gutter hangers that were installed on Mr. [redacted]'s home were fastened on top of the old starter row of shingles and had to be removed to properly install the new roofing system.  NMC again installed the proper gutter hangers at no cost to Mr. [redacted]. ·        NMC was informed of the rodent issue.  After inspection there was no hole or opening in the roof where the rodents were getting in.  It was discovered that there was a pre-existing rodent condition with the soffit and fascia that had been an issue well before NMC started working with Mr. [redacted].  Work on the soffit and fascia was not included in the original estimate and contract.  NMC Field Supervisor contacted Mr. [redacted] with an estimate of at least $300.00 to fix the soffit and fascia.  All previouscomplaints were not brought to NMC’s attention until this estimate was given to Mr. [redacted].   ·        Mr. [redacted] informed NMC of a noise in the kitchen range vent.  Our Field Supervisor removed the vent and found that there was one nail in the vent that was causing the noise.  After he removed the nail the vent worked perfectly.  This is a fairly common issue as the vent hole on the roof doesn't have a curb to it.  When a roof vent is removed during the re-roofing it is a possibility that 1 of the 1,000's of nails may make its way into the vent.  We were notified and we immediately responded to rectify the situation without charge. In the end, NMC doesn't feel that we have done anything wrong and when we were notified of any issues we immediately addressed them.  NMC cannot be held responsible for rodents.  If they want to get in they will find a way to get in.  Most eveybody deals with squirrels or birds or mice or insects that all want to get into a home.  We don't see how this is our fault.  Our suggestion is that the homeowner contact a pest control and have them look at their home.  NMC is willing to caulk the area of Mr. [redacted]'s concern without charge pending a signed waiver that we would not be held responsible for something eating through the caulk or it cracking in a few years etc.  We don't see why we would owe a refund of any amount as we have continually gone over and above without passing charges on to the homeowner.
