- Parent Statement of the Problem: "I had to pay $more than quoted staprice"
Our Registration fee is $60.00, which is stated on all of our admission papersSomeone might have mistakenly quoted $We did apologized to the parents at the enrollment time
- Parent Statement of the
Problem: "Child 'shaking from hunger one hour after dinner'"
Our dinner time is at 5:30pm, parent's pitimes were after 7:pm - hrs after dinnerWe provide meals and snacks during a child's scheduled hours at no additional cost to parent (we cook lunches and dinners from scratch and it includes all food groups)Our teachers encourage kids to eat all the food on their plate, but we will not force themOur cook is amazing and many parents commend us on the quality of our meals and snacks
- Parent Statement of the Problem: "accidents"
We do our best to prevent accidents from happeningUnfortunately , majority of year old children are not yet physically balanced, which means they have tendency to fall down, especially while bending, running, etcWe do have a policy about completing an "OUCH Report" after each incident and our teachers are very diligent regarding thisIf a report was not made, its an exception and we did apologize for it
- Parent Statement of the Problem: "my child was bitten...I was not notified by phone"
We notify parents by phone if their child has a health threatening issue, and/or when a parent's intervention is necessary: high fever, diarrhea, vomiting, bleeding that would not stop after giving First aid, etcDuring the orientation, the child's parents did not request to be notified by phone for minor accidents And, unfortunately, year olds do bite, when angry or frustrated, and it can happen whenever there is more than child
- Parent Statement of the Problem: "My child was sent home with hand foot and moth that spread through that daycare on separate occasions"
Hand, Foot, Mouth is a highly contagious disease, that has a long incubation period, and it spreads by touching infected hands, etc( At the time, many other daycares in the Boise area were affected as well)Younger kids play by touching everyone and everything, so even with rigorous cleaning procedures it could spread from one child to another. So it takes a long time to get rid of it completely - it was not separate occasions
- Parent Statement of the Problem: "on occasions I witnessed children being left alone in classrooms"
Boise licensing requirements state that teachers must be within sight or hearing distance of children in their careThe only time when teachers might not be right there in the classroom, would be when they would step out to go to kitchen for 10-seconds, but they are still able to hear children from kitchen area very well
- Parent Statement of the Problem: "They have the whole daycare on cameras and he made up some excuse that 'I can't go back that far' even though it had happened less than minutes ago."
During the conversation noted above, the parents did not specify that the incident happened ten minutes agoWe would have been able to check the cameras if this was the caseOur understanding was that they were referring to the incident four or five days agoOur cameras allow us only to see three days priorWe sincerely apologize for this misunderstanding
-Parent Statement of Problem: "bill of close to $I spoke with him about this where he agreed to change it to the days to be charged, but when I showed up to pay he was rude, and tried to charge me for all."
By admission agreement, parents agree to give two weeks' notice before they leave which is signedAlso they agree to pay a 10% late fee each week of the amount not paidThe invoice was sent for the amount of $(without charging the late fees)When the father arrived, he wanted to pay $and Alex wrote the receipt for that amount, stating that these are the fees for the last attending weekThe father then demanded that the receipt should state, "account paid in full"Alex then politely explained that the $is the fees that corresponds with the last attending week, which is what the receipt statesThen the father became frustrated, took the money, and left
Conclusion:
We apologize that the "Noah's Ark" staff did not meet your expectations
As of 01/09/Parent's account balance remains $
As a gesture of goodwill, we will accept the payment of $to settle the account
