Noar's Oil Company Reviews (3)

Failure to honor 1 year service agreement. I have been with Noars Oil for several years and have overall been happy. However, they do not honor American Express payments and with the cost over $4000 per year, I would like to use American Express for these payments. Since it is time to set up a new pricing contract, I notified the company that I did not want any further deliveries because they do not accept American Express and because their prices are much higher than many other oil companies in the area. I then asked to have my oil tank serviced as the service agreement is valid through September. The first agent told me that if I canceled the delivery they would cancel the service agreement. When I explained that the service agreement was good for 1 year she transferred me to [redacted] proceeded to book a service on my tank for September 25th and understood that I wanted no further deliveries of oil. A few minutes later, [redacted] called my home and told me that they would be glad to service my tank, however, they would bill me for the service since I have said I do not want any further deliveries of oil. The agreement was signed and paid for in September of 2012 for one full year, at the same time I also signed an agreement for 1 full year of oil. I did pay for 1 full year of oil in budged payments over 10 months. I believe this company still owes me the service on my tank which was associated with the oil bill that has been paid in full. Desired SettlementService on my tank or refund for 2 months of the service contract. Business' Initial Response [redacted] agreed on the terms of the service agreement which clearly states "...no refunds will be made on any fraction of a year for any unused portion of the contract..."I'm sorry that [redacted] now wants to change that agreement but will credit her the reminder of her service contract (2 months). I'm disappointed that any customer would cancel over a single payment method when many are offered; especially a customer who has been "overall happy". My hope is that she would reconsider her choice to leave and I would be more than happy to reopen her account. Otherwise, we will issue the credit and mail the refund by the end of the month.

As a Noar's Oil customer, my wife and I are very pleased with Noar's customer service and competitive pricing. I recently spoke with Heather in customer service and Dave, sales manager, and the experience was very positive. It is good to know that there are businesses who still live up to their Customer Dedication statements.
