Review: Two weeks ago, on November 21st, I received (3) damaged furniture pieces from Nobel Rugs & Home; (1)one Dining Room Table which had two deep gashes and a third indentation marking unnatural to the rest of the table (2) one China Hutch that had worn out varnish, dulled as if bleach or another type of chemical as applied to it; the hutch doors won't shut as they are warped, the light fixture was completely shattered and is bent, and the glass shelving is scratched throughout. (3) the Leaves to the dining room table have hair strands from bristles apparently used to shellack it throughout. Upon seeing the damages I called Nobel and spoke with [redacted] the person who sold me the furniture, to communicate the damages and to let him know that I was refusing delivery of the damaged pieces. However, [redacted] assured me that the damaged pieces would be replaced and to merely note the damages on the Bill of Lading provided by one of the two delivery men. He would be contacting me shortly. The next day [redacted] requests pictures of the damages and at this time advises me that the distributor he's purchased the furniture from has the right to try and repair the damages. I am outraged as I did not pay for damaged furniture yet I am expected to allow Nobel to repair it when it was received in this damaged condition.Desired Settlement: I am seeking a full refund.

We at Nobel Rugs & Home have made a good faith effort to resolve the dispute and will do our best to keep her satisfied with ordered products. Here is our side of the story; Mrs. [redacted] has “Special Ordered” a “Final Sale” a Dining Set included One Dining Table, Two Arm Chairs, Six Side Chairs, One Buffet and One Deck from [redacted] Furniture through Nobel Rugs & Home on Oct. 23rd 2013. Being “Special Order” and “Final Sale” as defined in the “Terms and Condition “of our contract which has been accepted by Mrs. [redacted] at the time of purchasing and ordering means that the order cannot be canceled for refund after 72hours.(Attachment #2) Nobel Rugs & Home had promised Mrs. [redacted] to have everything delivered by Thursday Nov. 21st one week prior to the Thanksgiving, and did its best to secure arrival of all these items from NC one day prior to the delivery date to our warehouse. On Thursday Nov. 21st, our delivery team took everything in its original manufacturer packing (for the safety reason and preventing damages) to Mrs. [redacted] (Attachment #1). During and after delivery she informed us about a few minor issues, “ chip on the dining table, a light broken, and two doors not closing properly in the China Cabinet” (Her own side marks on the Attachment #1) We promised to Contact the Manufacturer and get approval for proper action. We asked her to provide photos and she did email us a few. But Mrs. [redacted] instead of helping us go through the normal procedure for a matter like that which are assigning a repair company for inspection and finding out if the damages are repairable or has to be replaced, took the road of denying any accesses to inspection and insisted on the canceling the order and returning the items, in numerous telephone conversation we assured her, even though she has not been co-operating with us, still we will get her a replacement for the dining table and deck, as soon as they are available for shipping to us by [redacted] (Attachments #3 and #4). As we are writing these lines, all the delivered items are still in the Mrs. [redacted] Dining Room. And a replacement dining table and Deck has been ordered for her which will replace the existing ones as soon as they have arrived here. I was talking about the normal procedures in the replacing damaged furniture that an inspection has to happen. You didn’t let me finish. I was talking about the other options and [redacted] offer to give you more discounts if you let the repair happens and keep these items. Otherwise we have to replace the damaged items. So, this is not true that we will not provide replacement. The waiting time for the deck will be a few months. We will inform you later regarding the timing for the dining table. Instead of letting us follow the normal procedure and sending a repair company inspector to make the report from the extend and how about of the damages which would have facilitated and expedited the ordering of the needed replacement you took hard road of not complying and not co-operating. Anyway, despite all those obstacle in front of us and as mentioned earlier in my numerous telephone conversation and especially in my email from Dec. 3rd, we at Nobel Rugs & Home do our best to keep you happy and satisfied regarding your ordered merchandise. A replacement has been ordered both for the dining table and deck. As mentioned earlier the next cutting for the deck will be within a few months but waiting time for the dining table will be much shorter. You will be contacted as soon as any each of them has arrived here to make an appointment for replacing. Still it would be a great please to do more business with you in the future and we really hope for that!
