In response to this complaint, the first of my career, I am shocked that this client has expressed such extreme dissatisfaction. In conversations as recent as two weeks prior to the first incident mentioned in her complaint this client had expressed her appreciation towards services
rendered and added that she wished she could come in more often. I assured her that we were always here for her. At no time did she bring to my attention any complaints regarding our chiropractic work nor did she mention any incident that had transpired with the independently contracted massage therapist working here (regarding her weight or any other offensive subject). Now having spoken to the massage therapist directly I have come to understand that regardless of being offended the complaining client elected to receive another massage from him the following week. In regards to the statements concerning her being inappropriately charged the center does admit a clerical error, which resulted in three wellness-care office visits beyond the pre-paid package price I apologized for this mistake and based on what I believed was a common understanding suggested that these visits be deducted upon package renewal. She had voluntarily renewed her package twice before so this seemed a reasonable suggestion. At that time this client informed me that she would not be returning for more care, and then she suggested that we split the cost of the visits she’d received (beyond the now fulfilled pre-paid care package). She informed me that she would settle up her bill the following week when she picked up the receipt for services rendered for submission to her insurance company. When I called to follow up and arrange a time for her to come by the office, she informed me that she was no longer willing to pay even partially for those appointments and that I should send her receipts to date to her address. I then attempted to understand this change of plan and to inquire about what had triggered what seemed like a radical change in her perceptions towards this business and its services. Again she did not offer me any information or explanation other than to say that it seemed unprofessional for me to ask for payment for the care she had received beyond the agreed upon package. I apologized again for the clerical error and told her I would wave the cost of those visits and send her receipt as requested. It saddens me that this client has left the practice with less than good feelings toward it. I rest assured that she was given quality care and beyond the above misunderstandings was always treated with the utmost professionalism and high regard for her wellbeing. I formally apologize again here for any misperception or miscommunication. That said, having reviewed this patient’s health goals taken during her initial exam I can say with confidence that she has accomplished and/or made great strides in all subjects she wrote down. I refute that this client was in any way ‘taken advantage of’, as she willingly continued care to the end of her package after renewing it twice and never once expressed dissatisfaction until the very end. She had also made the choice to renew a pre-paid package with the massage therapist mentioned in her complaint Lastly she was also well informed from the onset of care that this a wellness center and that there is never a guarantee that a given insurance company will cover the work we do here. She expressed several times willingness to pay out of pocket regardless. That said I do hope that she is reimbursed with the documentation provided to her. With so many opportunities to inform me of her feelings privately it will always be a mystery to me why this client has elected to go public with her complaint I sincerely regret that she was so offended as to inspire and publically express such harsh opinions toward our well-intended work. While to me these accusations are clearly disproportionate to mistakes made, I nonetheless apologize once again for any distress she may have experienced as a result. At this time I can only learn appropriate lessons from this situation and wish this client the very best in her pursuits for health and happiness

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10548583, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThank yoi for your helpThey did send me a copy of my bill to submit to my insurance (about three months after they promised)It does not surprise me they did not respond I think they might have a hard time explaining their treatments and methods to the Revdex.comI feel they might be taking advantage of people, as I was there to be treated for a post knee surgery and that did not happenI have been to physical therapists and chiropractors who also fo physical therapy and have never experienced anything like treatments offered at this centerAdditionally, the notion that I was obligated to continue to pay for these treatments indefinitely struck me as bizarre

Review: After having a massage at massage envy in Santa Barbara by massage therapist, Julian I decided to try the PT treatment at a new business in SB. The business is N[redacted] Wellness Center. While there I received massage therapy by Julian and treatments by Dr. N[redacted] costing a total of $1400.00. About 4 to 6 weeks ago Julian informed me that he felt my weight and my eating habits were the cause of my knee swelling and pain. I took offense and explained that I was not at the facility for nutrition advice nor did I ask him for his feedback regarding my eating habits. BTW I am of average weight for a woman my age and height. Additionally, I was growing more and more skeptical about Dr. N[redacted]'s treatments and therefore decided not to continue. When I informed Dr. N[redacted] of my decision, Dr. N[redacted] became upset and insisted I had made a commitment to remain in treatment with him (i assume indefinitely). Additionally he made claims that I owed him money for treatments he gave to me and did not charge me for (as I had already paid him over $1400.00 I could not imagine what he was referring to). I did not know how to respond as I have not experienced a professional provider making such a bizarre assumptions and claims. Dr. N[redacted] continued to argue with me even though I asked him repeatedly to accept my decision. My reason for even continuing the conversation with him is, I need a copy of my bill to submit to my insurance company, for the reason some such visits are covered by them through their wellness department and I hoped this would be. Dr. Nobel has not sent me a copy of my bill as agreed upon when I originally began treatment. Additionally, the more perspective I gain I feel my treatment at this center was bogus, I am happy to provide specific detail as to why I have come to this conclusion. I have concern about Dr. N[redacted]'s so-called treatments and feel they could be fraudulent. For this reason I am filing this complaint.Desired Settlement: At this point in time I want a full refund. The treatments are suspect and I feel I was taking advantage of at the least and perhaps conned at worst. I would like a copy of my statement to submit to my insurance company. Providing me with a statement for my insurance was a part of my original agreement with N[redacted] Wellness Center.

Thank yoi for your help. They did send me a copy of my bill to submit to my insurance (about three months after they promised).
