RE: Complain No. XXXXXX Ms. [redacted] Dewwitt
Revdex.com:
Enclosed with this written response you will find the following. A police report pertaining to issues...

we have had with [redacted] a documented invoice stating there will be NO WARRANTY if the truck is over heated (which it was over heated after leaving my shop the first time, therefore all work completed after this was done under good ethics, not by any legal bonding) Pictures of the melted heat tabs which proves it has been overheated, a signed work order from [redacted] allowing us to work on his truck, text messages showing we warrantied the motor after he broke it again, even though we DID NOT have to replace any parts after the first motor build due to him over heating it, and other documentation showing all work has been completed.
On 1/21/16 [redacted] dropped his truck off to have the head gaskets replaced along with many other parts. On 2/05/16 the truck was completed, paid for, and returned to the customer with a disclaimer on the completed invoice that if the truck were over heated there would be no warranty. Two days after him having the truck he returned with the same issues he had before. The heat tabs were melted (they have a melting point of 225 degrees, normal operating temp on that motor is 200 degrees) and the head gasket was popped. After I explained to him I DID NOT have to warranty the work, I did anyways just out of being nice. It took SoMo Diesels LLC about one month to complete the work again, due to a high volume of work to complete on other trucks. After having issues with [redacted] (the attached police report will explain that) it was apparent that any issue he had with the truck would be our fault no matter if we touched it or not. The plastic pipe, which is an intercooler pipe, is a very prone to breaking part. It commonly fails and the work we completed had nothing to due with it failing. (This was a partmentioned in the complaint filed with the Attorney General not the Revdex.com, which shows contradicting complaints and stories.) I told him this via text and also explained to him that I respectfully decline any more work on his truck due to these issues of him wanting work completed for free. Also, the recording he has of me conversing on the phone also states that if he has an issue with the headlights, I would fix the problem free of charge. I would also like to state that the complaint sent to the Attorney General does NOT match the complaint to the Revdex.com filed by the same individual, [redacted] SoMo Diesels LLC is fully insured, has all the correct federal and state tax ID numbers to make it a fully legal business, and republic business licenses, My shop is ran professionally and has many years in the job field to back it. When the truck

left my shop the first and second time the truck was fully functional. Everything ran properly and was tested including a test drive more then once.
In short, the work he paid for has been completed, and completed again on my dime when it was specified that if the truck was over heated, there was no warrany. After the incident on the police report is when we decided to decline anymore work. I also noticed in [redacted] letter to the Attorney General or Revdex.com never stated any of the warranty information, or police report. If you need any more information please do not hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
[redacted] S. [redacted] Owner of SoMo Diesels LLC [redacted] Republic, MO XXXXX
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2016/04/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I chose not to read the police report due to [redacted] telling me his friend are police. Meaning it will be one sided.
Again the truck was damage before I got it back. The truck melted due to him not doing the work the right way.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2016/04/22) */
[redacted] declining to read the police report on the grounds of me personally knowing a current police officer in Republic is truly unacceptable. It is distasteful that [redacted] would believe the Republic police to bend a story in my favor. Republic's police force is one of the most professional in my opinion. The police officers that responded to this incident I had never met either of them before. Also, the individual that I know working in Republic was not hired as an officer till after this incident. Like I have stated, the work completed was done correct and completed again on my dime. I stand behind my original response to these issues and have nothing further to say. Thank you for your time.
