Noffke Roofing Co.

Multiple experiences with this roofing company have compelled me to write this review. A few years ago, I was getting water in my utility room after a strong rain storm. I contacted Noffke, who had done maintenance on the roof previously, and they determined that an entire section of roof as well as gutters had to be replaced. It was done for $2,000+. So you can imagine my surprise when a year later, I found water in my utility room again. When I contacted Noffke, they came out and inspected and now determined my problem was the window and caulked it. I have not had any water since. I felt a bit taken by the work that was done when a $2 can of caulk solved my problem. And I wonder now, did they just “create” that as a problem? They never said it was a potential fix. It was presented as THE problem.
I should have considered other roofers but I continued to have Noffke do maintenance since I prefer to give a local group my business. But I just experienced another incident which is disturbing. Noffke gave me a VERY high quote to do some maintenance. The way it was written, it was “not to exceed” so I figured there was some padding in it. The workers came out to do the work and were done in very little time. In all, my bill would have been half of the estimate if not less. But when the workers were on the roof, they recommended that my ridge caps be replaced. I inquired as to what that would cost and they indicated it was well below the estimate and even doing this work, in total would be below the estimate. I had to sign for the additional materials which I understood. What I did not understand is that I got charged an additional 3 hours for two men to pick up the materials! If I had said “no” to the additional work that day and had them come back a different day, or if I had gone to pick up the materials while they were at lunch, I would have saved hundreds of dollars!
I contacted Noffke to discuss the bill. As it was, they had overcharged me for the materials which they did adjust for. But they would not budge on the man hours. I wrote a letter to the owners of the company, as listed on the Revdex.com site. It was another disappointment to get an email from someone in the office explaining the charges and that they would do no additional adjustment.
First, it was disappointing that the owners did not have the decency to contact me directly to discuss this. Second, it is disappointing that they are willing to toss a long term customer over a few hundred dollars, which in the scheme of things is small. Especially since I was actually giving them EXTRA business. They had no other jobs scheduled that day! Finally, I am feeling very much that their business practices are not forthright. Why did they tell me that an expensive roof repair was needed when a caulk job would work? And why do they not disclose their man hour policy to do additional work? I’ve been fooled twice and I won’t be fooled again. I will look for a new roofer for my additional business.

Just had Noffke come out and reshingle my entire roof. From the girl who took my original call to come out and the sales representative , To the employees doing the roof and the Forman who was in contact with me was very professional.
They walked me thru everything and answered all my questions. They cleaned up after each work day.
Can't say enough good things about them.
Would recommend them100 percent.
