Review: I have been a patient with Dr. [redacted] since 2010. For every time I have entered that office for an appointment, the office staff has asked if my insurance is the same. In this particular case, I needed to have a root canal done. When the office quoted me the price, I expressed my concern for the cost because it seemed pretty expensive. Dr. [redacted] herself pulled up her chair and her laptop and explained the cost to me saying that she was within the national average. She went on to show me that the procedure I was having was covered and that I could apply for Care Credit if need be. I put my trust and faith in Dr. [redacted] and staff and proceeded with the procedure. At no point in time did Dr. [redacted] or the staff advise me that after greater than three years of service to me, they were no longer in network. I found out that Dr. [redacted] was no longer in network when I received the EOB from Metlife. I am now receiving calls from Dr. [redacted] office requesting additional monies from me (over $400.00) for this claim.Desired Settlement: I would like for this to be processed as in-network which should result in a refund to me.
