Review: Nolanite our contractor worked with a plumber that put a lien on our apartment.. We have paid Nolanite in full for all services due. We have contacted Jon N[redacted] several times to get this matter resolved. He has acknowledged by e-mail and phone conversations that we are fully paid up . We do not owe him for any services, plumbing or otherwise. We also have the invoice and all cancelled checks regarding payments. . So why do we now have a lien on our apartment. Nolanite either did not pay the plumber the agreed upon amount or the plumber is not reputable. In either case our dealing's were strickly with the contractor and it is not our responsiblity.It is way to expensive to pay for the services twice. Jon is no longer returning our calls. We asked him several times to provide proof tht he is working to resolve this issue. He just says he will and nothing happens. We cannot sell the apartment if there is a lien on it. We paid on time and we expect proof that this issue is being resolved. I want the lien removed.Desired Settlement: The lien on our apartment removed.

Review: During the month of September, I met twice with [redacted] with my designer present and discussed in detail the renovation of my apartment. We provided him with a design for the apt.I signed a retainer with [redacted] on October * and per his request,I gave him a check for $3,500. which he deposited. The retainer stated that:Retainer Payment..3500.00_________**Upon Receipt of the retainer payment Nolanite will generate a complete project package. The retainer allows Nolanite to do the detailed planning of this project.By Dec *, the only thing he had done was to send his license(s) to my building management and a short vague list he called a "scope of work", but it was so vague it was unacceptable to the management. They would not submit to building architect. I and they received no "detailed planning". He knew that I was on a tight schedule and paid noattention to it, presumably because he was busy with other projects. On December * I asked for a refund of my $3,500. retainer. On that date he said that he would do a breakdown and send a refund "if any is warranted". The next excuse pertained to the holidays after which he said he would address week of January *. It is now February **, and I have heard nothing--no breakdown, no refund.Desired Settlement: Refund of $3,500. retainer
