Dr. Barry Schleider is the most genuine doctor I have had the pleasure to have met. He has thousands of new clients monthly and still remembers everything about me and my back situation. He offers a very personal practice and his true colors show when he shows he remembers and cares about you! I have been coming to him for 4 months now and my quality of life has changed dramatically! These decompression treatments truly work and it's just the cherry on top that he and his staff shows genuine care for their patients!!! I cannot thank him enough for keeping me from having surgery.

Review: I have made approximately 10 phone calls, on two different phone numbers, during business hours, but was unable to speak to an actual person, so I left my name and contact number (twice per message) along with a request to be called back to schedule a treatment appointment on their answering machines. I have not received a single return phone call. At one point I was able to speak with Dr @@@@@ by calling his office number. I explained this situation to him and he advised me it should not happen and he would address the issue. It happened again with no returned calls. I have sent two registered, return receipt letters since the phone calls have gone unanswered, but they too have been ignored.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like to be refunded the initial financed amount ($5650.00) plus interest paid, but will settle for the balance due at the time my calls were first starting to be ignored, March 2015 ( $4007.47) plus interest charged ($196.15) and payments made ($600.00).

Review: The Orange County Neuropathy and Pain Center is fraudulent in their practice. I went to the center due to my disease, Peripheral Neuropathy. I met with a Chiropractor, more like a salesman, who promised significant relief. He talked about how the program was developed and managed by Dr. [redacted], a Podiatrist who specialized in Peripheral Neuropathy. Dr. [redacted] was never was around when I received treatment. When I asked to speak with him, I was told "he is not at this location right now". After a few weeks of treatment I found no relief and asked to speak with Dr. [redacted]. After a run around we finally met him on a Saturday. He asked about the pain, confirmed the treatment program. My wife asked if he was going to give me the tests. He looked at us with a questioning look. My wife referred to the "articles" he writes and publishes via social media. His articles consistently talk about the multi-step "test" which must be performed to determine the extent of the disease. The articles mention if a doctors office did no perform the test, they were not reputable. Dr. [redacted] did not even know what articles we were referring to! My wife went out to the car and brought back the articles and showed him. He was taken back - it was obvious he had someone else releasing the articles. He performed an extremely quick pk test and that was it. When pressed more, he finally admitted he was not very involved with this office. He had found out they were being very liberal with his name. Dr. [redacted] said he was going to be "more involved" going forward. At the time his name was not even on the front of the building. When his name finally did get put up, it did not state even what type of dr. he was. He has his own office in South Orange County. This bait and switch approach is appalling. Especially given there are so many chiropractors having dinners saying they can bring relief. After the speech of we can bring you relief if you want to receive treatment, they require $5,000 payment BEFORE treatment. We asked for our money back due to two things. First, Dr. [redacted] himself admitted that he was not very involved in the center (at that time). Second because after several months I never found ANY relief, none whatsoever. The office is making a significant amount of money herding people through, collecting their money, offering relief and if you dont receive any relief oh well, you can keep coming forever. If the treatment was not working after several months, why would someone keep going? Given that we were misled about Dr. [redacted]'s involvement we feel this is a form of fraud. We would not have signed up if we knew it was a chiropractors concept and treatment program. Yes, we should have done more research, but when the pain is unbearable and someone is saying there is a program that will help with relief sometimes it impairs your rationale thinking.Desired Settlement: We would like our $5,000 payment refunded. Thank you for your time and attention.

Review: Services began Dec 2013 to date with Surgical Spine Center. We had an agreement with this Dr that we would pre pay $5000.00 with the understanding that we would be reimbursed for the pre payment once the ins coverage was in effect. Per Athem Blue Cross the last billing they received was Mar 26 and nothing since. We have received partial payment of $955.71 with a balance of $4044.29

I have called many times to inquire why they haven't sent us the money the ins co paid, in which I received many excuses.

My wife spoke with [redacted] Oct 15 and again she stated she needed to review our acct and would call me back Wed Oct 15 to date we have not heard a word from her. I am tired of trying to recoup our money from them that's why I am forced to ask you for help.

Anthem Blue Cross: OCU HEALTH AND WELFARE TRUST ID # [redacted] my wife holds the insurance [redacted] DOB [redacted] Anthem is aware of the situation.

Thank you for your help.Desired Settlement: I want Surgical Spine center to contact Anthem Blue Cross get a copy of all EOB's showing how much they paid and to invoice the ins co for all visits to date.

I want a break down showing all transactions.

Review: I had seen an ad for decompression treatments, I didn't know at the time what these treatments consisted of. I did a few treatments which resulted in my having to go to urgent care, I was then instructed by my medical doctor to discontinue these treatments because my doctor felt that these types of chiropractic treatment are not suggested for someone with my current back issues. I then contacted the office to cancel any further appointments and I was transferred to [redacted], who then advised that their office does not practice chiropractic, even though the main doctor [redacted], D.C. Is a chiropractor. [redacted] was trying to convince me to continue with treatment as I stated to [redacted] that I did not want to go against my own doctor's advise so I expressed that I wanted to cancel all treatments. I was advised by the office manager that out of the $[redacted] that I was charged that I would be receiving $[redacted] credited to my [redacted] account. Well, as of today I am still paying the full balance due. Also, no where does it state that each treatment is $[redacted]. I believe this to be very unethical and very unprofessional and I believe that my total of $[redacted] should be credited back to me since I have been in treatment and physical therapy for my back issues since July 2014. I know now that I must research anything thati find on the Internet.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the full amount of the treatments credited back to my [redacted] account
