Noon Spoon Cafe, Incorporated Reviews (2)

On July 24, 2015, I received a call from my customer.  He brought to my attention that he had been in for dinner at my café and his bill was $58.35 with a $5.00 tip.  He said that he did not leave a $15 tip.  I let him know that I would investigate this and get back with him. ...

I took a picture of the receipt and texted it to him that evening and he confirmed that this was not his handwriting.  I spoke with my employee, [redacted], and she denied that she altered the receipt.  I issued a refund on his credit card in the amount of $10.  Upon my investigation, I was unable to actually prove that [redacted] altered the ticket but I had a feeling that she did.  The only way it can be proven is if charges are filed by my customer so that the police are involved. This customer and his family have been eating at my establishment for years and I could not imagine that he would make this up.  Since then, he and his family have been to my establishment several times and I am very thankful that they are forgiving of this unfortunate and unwelcomed situation that both he and I were placed in by someone else's actions.     I had no idea that [redacted] has a criminal history when I hired her.  She worked for me 3 nights per week (Tues, Thurs and Fri nights) from July 1st until her last shift, which was on July 24th.    From what I understand, my customer has the opportunity to press charges but not sure if he has decided to do so.  I suggested to him that he call his credit card company and cancel his card number and have another issued to be on the safe side.    It appears that my customer filed this complaint the day after the incident, July 24, 2015.  He was upset and I understand that.  I would have been upset too.  But, the two of us have had lots of communication since then and I am relieved to know that he understands what happened was not my fault.  As a result of me terminating [redacted] employment, I believe I made a bold statement:  My customers are very important to me and I will always do everything within my power to make things right.  I feel as if this incident is resolved.   Thank you for your time and please let me know if I can be of further assistance.      [redacted] Noon Spoon Cafe, Inc. 610 Broadway Marble Falls, TX 78654 [redacted], phone
