Review: The shop let my car leave with a missing wheel stud nut and a loose weight that damaged the tire.

I was present when the tires were installed on my car on Monday April 22nd. I personally watched the mechanic start the nut by hand and hit it with the air gun while installing the wheel. He stripped the nut/stud and came over to me to tell me I needed 5 new "nuts" I told him to replace any that were in need. The next weekend I washed the car and two weights fell off the wheels. On Tuesday April 30th a weight flew off and got hung up and ruptured the tire. I removed the wheel and took it to Nor Cal Tire on Wednesday May 1st. [redacted] the owner was not in his mechanic told me he would try to fix the tire if not he would order a new one. I returned to the shop on Friday May 3rd. I spoke with [redacted] and was informed that that could not have happened. "They dont replace studs" I informed him that I saw his mechanic damage the stud and was informed it was just a nut. [redacted] said he would check the cameras. and offered to reballance my wheels. I requested that he not repair the tire due to the size of the hole. I wanted a replacement tire. I was told he would find me a used tire but it would take several weeks and I should check back with him. I disagreed explaining that my car can not sit while he finds a used tire that he did offer to find. He is claiming road hazard and no warranty. When I explained to him that its not an issue of road hazard, that its an issue of the weights improperly installed or old and worn weights that would not stay in place that caused the failure. At this time [redacted] became argumentative and I took a picture of his business licence, asked him to get my tire and I would handle it a different way. I questioned [redacted] about the repair that his Tech. did to the tire the previous day. [redacted] informed me that "he dosnt know about the repair, but that the tire is holding air. I questioned this. I told [redacted] that I personally removed the weight from the tire that was flat. That the tire was flat when I brought it to him. He claims that they did not patch or plug the tire, but it is holding air. I disagreed with him explaining that the hole is aprox. 1/2" in diameter and cant fix itself. He denied repairing the tire but you can see an obvious patch through the hole. I requested a new tire as a replacement not a used one. I was denied and left their shop. Desired Settlement: All I requested was a new replacement tire. The wheels to be balanced with quality weights and the damaged stud replaced.

Customer [redacted] came to our shop to purchase two used tires, and he also brought two other tires to be mounted on the car. He dropped the car off. When our tech. was taking the tires off he noticed that it was missing a lug nut on passenger rare tire and studs were also stripped. When customer came back our tech told customer that he needed to replace the studs. Customer told our tech to go ahead and replace them. Our tech mentioned that we don't do auto repair he would need to take it to an automotive repair shop. all the work was done and customer left the shop. Few day later customer came back saying that wheels weights started to fall and one of the wheels fell and puncture one of his tires. We offered a tire repair and re balance on all four wheels at no cost to the customer. Customer claimed that the tire was not safe to drive after we patched the tire. Then We offered him a used tire but he wanted a brand new tire at no cost. However his tire had about 60% tread left on it. He decided not to take the used tire we offered him.
