Review: The representative answering the 24 hour hot line lied to me saying there was no additional charge if I waited until the next a.m. To get my vehicle.

On May 26, our vehicle, a white 2004 Mazda van, was towed by NorCal. We did not discover this until 12:30 a.m. On the 27th, upon calling the police. They gave me the 24 hour number and I began trying to reach them immediately. MIT took me 4 calls to get through before I finally reached a man who sounded like he had been asleep. He quoted me the fee of $357 to retrieve the vehicle from impound. He asked me when we wanted to pick it up, because he'd have to send someone out to meet us. I asked him if it would cost more if we waited until the morning, as I wasn't keen on trying to find the Rio [redacted] location in the middle of the night. He said no, the charge would be the same. I said that we would pick it up in the a.m., if it wouldn't cost us more. He said that was fine, but to call first anyway so they could have someone meet us at the yard. When I called at 10:45a.m., the woman who answered the number at that time told me there was an additional $65 fee for 1day's storage. I explained what I had been told on my first call and she said "I don't know why he told you that.", but refused to honor the $357 we were quotedDesired Settlement: Because the vehicle was there less than 24 hours, and we were quoted $357 on the same calendar day as when we picked it up, we are asking NorCal to honor their employee's first quote and refund the additional $65 they collected from us at the time we picked up the vehicle
