NorCal Hot Tubs Reviews (3)

Review: We purchased a new "Life's Great" hot tub from this business one year ago. The spa warrantee is as follows: The plumbing may include all piping, jets and valves. The MANUFACTURER warrants all plumbing parts to be free from defect in materialand workmanship for three (3) yearsThe spa had electrical issues, leaks and a valve that would not shut off. It took six months of constant phone calls to get this business to send someone out to repair the spa. The repair of the spa valve only lasted one day and is leaking again. The service guy also tried to levy a $100 service fee at time of repair. Now the business said he has no one to send out and that "he is looking". His name is "[redacted]."The complaint is for very poor customer service and not honoring the warranty of the products that he sells.Desired Settlement: I would request a repair of the faulty valve that was replace, but I'd rather pay a reputable repair person that deal with the business any further, or be presented with a service fee that should be covered under warrantee.

Review: I purchased a hot tub at the California State Fair in July. I put $500 down on the product and was told that the product would be delivered to me in approximately 5 weeks. For some reason my business was directed to a company called Nor Cal Hot Tubs. The owners name is [redacted]. The next week after the fair I was charged an additional $600 without my permission. I asked for this money to be returned back to me right away. A refund transaction took place over the phone a few times but never came to me. I didn't receive that additional money until 3 months later after constantly checking in with ** asking him what was going on with my money. The contract that I signed said that the tub would arrive in 2-6 weeks. When the 6 weeks came to, I decided to give ** a visit and inquire about my product. When approached directly ** said that the company that makes the tub had taken on an excess amount of orders and was very behind. I told ** that I was very upset that the contract that was in place had been broken because I had not received my product. He immediately gave back the $500 deposit and said that he would contact me when the product arrived. To make a long story short, I never received my hot tub. I was never kept in the loop to know what was going on with everything unless I called to ask for information. I was lied to numerous times by **. Overall the customer service was horrendous.Desired Settlement: I received all of my money after three months of constantly asking for it. All I want is my hot tub. Since I do not trust this company any longer all I want is to prevent others from being put into the same position as I am in.

Response:

I would like to start off by stating that this complaint has been sent to the wrong company. NorCal Hot Tubs is a separate business than [redacted]. NorCal Hot Tubs has its own business license, sells different brands of spas than [redacted], and pays its own taxes. NorCal Tubs was leasing showroom space from [redacted]. NorCal Hot Tubs did compete at the California State Fair against [redacted] in booths that were close together.

As per Mr. [redacted] complaint, I agree that he ordered a hot tub, and the hot tub did not ship in the timeframe that was promised at time of purchase. Mr. [redacted] was upset by this and was given a full refund. I would have loved to deliver Mr. [redacted]'s hot tub, but it never arrived from the manufacturer. NorCal hot tubs has discontinued business dealing with [redacted]. NorCal hot tubs believes it has done the correct thing in refunding the customer. NorCal considers this case closed. We hope Mr. [redacted] finds the hot tub that best suites him.

Sincerely,

NorCal Hot Tubs

PS- In regards to claim number [redacted], which is also a closed complaint sent to the wrong company. Revdex.com, please amend this and copy it to your records. Again, for a short period of time NorCal rented floor space from [redacted]. NorCal Hot Tubs business license number is. Furthermore, these responses from [redacted] were solely a courtesy from [redacted] to the Revdex.com.

Review: Bought a hot tub in July and it had damage to panels and cover. It was promised to me to be done over and over again. Each week I get a different excuse or no response at all. I also was not given the warranty information and the hot tub seems to be possibly leaking on the front panel on the left side. I feel I have been more than patient with this company and paid cash amount of 8590.16 . I hope I can get some direction on how to proceed from this point forward.Desired Settlement: New cover and panel replacement. I need warranty info and repair of leaking . Or just please reimburse me and they can remove hot tub and I will purchase from another company.

Response:

I, the owner have made an appointment on 10/16/14 to look at the hot tub.

I had previously gone out to fix an led light issue. After replacing the led light, the customer had also complained about a "wobbly" step surround package. A portion of the steps would not fit on the concrete and overhung onto the grass causing the "wobbly" feeling. I inserted additional screw and used a few shims to correct the issue as best I could. At that time, I ordered new panels and a new cover.

I have been awaiting panels and a new cover from the manufacturer. The cover has arrived. I have not received the panels, but believe I can use trim pieces to correct the issue to close out the warranty call. I will also take a look at the leak, which was initially believed to be water "splashing from the hot tub". I have printed a new owners manual for the customer that contains her full warranty from the manufacturer.

I apologize for the wait and canceled appointment. I hope to have the issue permanently resolved this week.

Thank you for your ongoing patience.

Sincerely,

NorCal Hot Tubs
