The Dr and I talked extensively and she admitted several mistakes she madeI stand behind [redacted] was in perfect condition going in for her broken nailMeaning she was playing, eating, jumping, walking, sliding around the house prior to the surgeryShe jumped into the truck going to the vet for the surgeryAnd the truck is a HD fairly high for a dog to jump into the back seat but she did it just fine Possibly she had things going on inside that would have eventually caught up to her years down the road but overdosing medication and not having the proper IV during the surgery took her life way to soon Dr admitted she had other dogs to attend to and they were somewhat rushed because they close at p.mand in hindsight her exact words were "I would not have given so much anesthesia" and her exact words were "I would have given her an IV not just fluids through the skin." And she admitted she probably was not well enough to go home but they do close at When we picked her up there was staff members there all watched us slide her on a towel into her crate because she could not stand up on her ownShe was very lethargic and very dehydratedI asked one of the staff to get me a water bowl for her and they saw she could not drink on her ownI had to put my fingers in the bowl and put it on her tongueWhen the dr called the day after surgery it was never said her blood work was life threateningI mentioned [redacted] was not doing well and she said give her another day she is an adult dogI did and she was the same or worseI then called and they said bring her inThey put fluids through her skin and sent us home with an IV to administer over the next two daysWe paid for another visit and it was too late we had to put her down before the second IV could be administeredShe still could not eat or drink or stand up on her own she was overdosed on medicineComing back to the blood work, that they are trying to say is what killed her even when I spoke to the Drwho did the surgery she said she saw no real red flags about her blood work other than that she was showing signs of anemia and we would have to have her rechecked in two weeks and to put her on iron pills She was overdosed on anesthesia with no IV and that is exactly what killed herShe admitted it was bothering her as wellToo many mistakes were made for them not to admit there were errors madeIt isn't only about the moneyWe have never refused any treatment for our dogWe have always tried to get her the best careIt is about saying yes maybe there were things we could have done differentlyAccept that the Dryou have hired admitted she made mistakes in hindsight as she says and own the mistakesThat is all I ask [redacted] deserves at least thatShe lost her life because of this procedureThis should have been handled differentlyDon't blame it on her age which they have incorrect in their charts and is shameful because she has been treated there since she was a puppyJust because your practice has been sold and resold the patients (the animals) deserve to have all the records preservedAnd don't blame it on her blood workEspecially since the Dradmitted things should have been done differentlyEven down to saying yes they should have rescheduled her since it was not an emergency for when they had more time to watch her come out of anesthesiaShe should have never left the office when she could not walk, get up or drink on her ownAgain a huge mistake on the staff for not telling us to get her to an animal hospital that was open hours Own it and admit yes we made mistakes and we are sorryI know we will never change thingsBut at least we deserve that in her honor Final Business Response / [redacted] (4000, 13, 2015/12/11) */ A 100% refund was provided for the customerThe customer also agreed to sign a confidentiality agreement since we both agreed to disagree on the pet's cause of death
