The Customer came in on 3/5/15 and this was her first time in to the shop. We had no history on this vehicle. The Customer came in with a front brake grinding complaint. We did an inspection on the brakes and found the front brakes to be worn...
out. The car needed front brake calipers, pads and rotors.
We also found many other maintenance and immediate repair items needed on the car including rear brakes, ect.. ( see attached inspection sheet also documented on the repair order). Before doing any work the Service Advisor discussed all car repairs needed with the Customer .
The front brakes service was approved by the Customer. We did the front brakes overhaul as per the Customer 's request. We noted many items that the car needed including that the Engine was 3 quarts low on oil and had a strong burnt smell . The service advisor recommended an oil change due to the oil being down 3 quarts ( of the 4.9 that the car requires) and due to the condition of the oil. The Customer declined she only wanted the 3 quarts added and the brakes done. We did not see any obvious oil leak , the service advisor informed The Customer to keep an eye on the oil because the oil was low when the car came in . He explained that the oil had to go some where and should be checked , again The Customer declined and said to do the brakes and add the 3 quarts oil only.
When the customer service representative did her follow up calls on 3/23/15 the customer stated that everything was all well. ( sheet is attached )
We had done what the customer had asked us to do and she is not having a issue with the brakes and adding 3 quarts of oil would have only helped the engine.

I stand by my earlier statement.
