I would like to respond to this complaint.  The customer purchased a chainsaw and took it home with him that day.  Four days later, he brought the chainsaw back, stating he did not want it after it had clearly been used and damaged.  We ( Norfolk Power Equipment) had to replace...

the fuel line on the chainsaw at no cost to the customer.  We have tried numerous times to contact the customer to pick up the chainsaw but have been unable to get in contact with him.  The invoice states our return policy as “Equipment returned within seven business days and has been used is subject to a thirty percent restocking fee.”  If we were to resell this chainsaw we would need to replace the bar and chain.  The saw is still waiting for the customer to come and pick it up.  Mr. [redacted] also put a dispute in with the credit card company in regards to this matter. We also responded to them with the same response. The credit card company did not find us at fault and  depositing the money back  into our account. Thank you for your time.  Please let me know if you need anything else. Sincerely, [redacted]Norfolk Power Equipment, Inc.

We have reached out to the customer to offer the rebate prior to June 30th. However the financing options have changed. Our sales rep claims that he clearly stated that the rates will change next month.  We were never presented a credit application as well. On [redacted].com it also stated that...

financing terms and rebates will end on June 30th. Norfolk Power Equipment has offered to honor the rebate regardless of [redacted]'s involvement.  If the customer would like to discuss further please contact either [redacted] (GM of RI location) or [redacted] (GM of Wrentham).

As stated previously, I was sold a defective piece of merchandise.  I do not accept the business's response and do not want the merchandise.  I was willing to exchange the saw for a another model, but was told by the business that it was out of the question.
