Review: I took my 2012 Honda Pilot to get new brakes. When I picked up my car at the close of business, it was scratched in several places and they offered for me to bring it back and they'd repair it for free. After leaving, I drove the car off the lot and the vehicle had a grinding brake noise. I brought it back to Honda when they called to let me know I could bring the vehicle in to repair the scratches. I made them aware of my brake concerns so they suggested I go on a test drive with one of the mechanics. The mechanic agreed there was definitely some brake noise and it pertained to the original replacement they did. They offered to machine my rotors (fix the noise) once again, and did that day. After picking up my car at the close of business I drove the car off the lot and at this point my brakes were shaking exactly how they were when I first brought the vehicle in to be repaired. I proceeded to bring the vehicle back once again to show them my concerns and they refused to help me stating that it is the way I drive is why the brakes are shaking. After discussing it a bit further with the service advisor again, he called his manager and they refused to help me further. The service advisor claimed they do regularly have issues with Pilot and Odyssey brake repairs. Since they refused I proceeded to take my vehicle to Pep Boys to be repaired properly. They repaired my vehicle and the brakes are great now.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund of the original purchase price for the brake repair

Response:

In response to complaint ID#[redacted]. The customer came in for an oil change and brake inspection on 7/23/14. Upon inspection we found that the front brakes were worn and rotors warped causing brake shimmy. In addition to the brakes we found the front rt outer cv boot torn causing a grease to leak out (special ordered boot kit, covered under drivetrain warranty). The brake rotors were then resurfaced and brake pads replaced. Customer stated that during the repairs that the vehicle was damaged in serveral places. The service manager as a "goodwill" gesture authorized replacement of all body side moldings for normal door dings at no charge to customer. The customer then returned on 8-14-14 after 1305 miles complaining of brake noise. Customer test drove with shop foreman and confirmed noise. Found front brake rotors glazed causing noise. Resurfaced front brake rotors at no charge to customer. Customer then returned to have the rt side outer cv boot replaced under warranty on 8/23/14 . Customer stated that the rotors were warped again and brake were making noise. Customer test drove with shop foreman. Unable to duplicate customers complaint. Replaced rt outer cv boot under warranty. No further action is required since customer was unable to demonstrate that there is a problem with his brakes. Brakes are safe and are working as designed.

[breaks were not safe and working as designed I still have the parts that are warped to prove it. I still want my refund or I will go to small claims court.]

Regards,

Review: I purchased a Honda Accord at Norm Reeves Honda, Huntington Beach two months ago. Recently, the sales person, [redacted], has been disturbing me by phone, claiming that he forgot to remove the Skylink tracking device, even after the finance specialist, [redacted], told me the mechanics had successfully removed the device, before I drove off the dealership. [redacted] was trying very hard to sell me this tracking device which I refused to buy and I asked them to remove it. Now the salesperson, [redacted], kept calling me to ask me to go all the way back just to let them take back the device which I can't even tell if it's still in the car or not.

In addition, the plastic cover under the steering wheel and driver's side window have been loose and make noises when driving. I feel that the plastic cover is loose because they damaged it after removing the Skylink tracking device.

Moreover, the selling price was around $16,500 and drove off price was $17,043. I had asked [redacted] to give me the best price but he did not. Just the next day when I check online again, the dealership dropped the price to $14,990. I feel strongly that the salesperson has been very dishonest. I felt cheated about the purchase.

I feel extremely uncomfortable and have a feeling that he is trying to scam me. During the purchasing process, he made a very unprofessional comment about my income which makes me feel really disrespected. Please help me to look into this matter because it is not a very legitimate reason for me to go back to the dealership. I really feel that [redacted] will continue to harass me if I do not go back to Norm Reeves Honda Huntington Beach.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a price difference check if possible.

If there is anything about the car, I would prefer going to a nearby dealership, which is [redacted]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This is [redacted] I made a complaint on Revdex.com and the message was sent on 5/14/15. I tried calling your number but there was no answer so I would like to write you an email to follow up the whole incident. This is about my Honda Accord purchase at you dealership on 4/11/15. The VIN# for the vehicle is [redacted].First, when I was giving the sales consultant, [redacted], my personal information, he made an unnecessary comment about my income, which was unprofessional and disrespectful. Next, when I was paying for the car with finance specialist, [redacted], he was pressuring me to purchase the SkyLINK tracking device by putting the unwanted extra cost on the bill. He finally took it off of the bill after I insisted not to purchase it. So then, he left the finance office briefly to make sure the technicians removed the SkyLINk in my vehicle. Everything should be set before I was given the car keys to drive off. After a weekend, [redacted] started calling me continuously, claiming that the SkyLINK tracking device is still left inside my vehicle and that I must go back to your dealership to have it removed as soon as possible. This to me, is an illegitimate reason and very inconvenient for me to drive all the way back for. In addition, there is a unknown plug hanging inside the plastic cover under the steering wheel. The plastic cover is now loose and makes noises when driving at certain speeds. It looks like a damage from removing something possibly the SkyLINK. The driver's side window also makes noises as if it is loose when rolled down at certain levels. Only this window has such problem. Moreover, the selling price changed from $15,491 to $14,990 online just a day after the purchase. I had asked [redacted] to give me the best price and I could not get an explanation for this $501 difference. I felt cheated about the purchase. I have attached the screenshots before and after the price change. I have also attached one of the many voicemails [redacted] left me after calling me everyday for the past few weeks. The overall purchase experience is already unpleasant and the numerous phone calls from [redacted] make it even worse. Please reply to my email or give me a call back. Thank you!
