Norms Service Center Inc Reviews (6)

We sold the vehicle to the customer on 2/13/and was originally contacted by the buyer on (I believe) 2/23/at approxpmThe reason I believe this to be the day is because the mechanic was out that
day for a personal reason on 2/It is not impossible the original contact was made 2/21, but that is not what my notes suggestThe owner (Norm) took the initial callThe customer complained the parking brake was not working, nor were the wipersHe was specifically told he had to drop it off to be examined and handledHe insisted he would come at that very moment for immediate "repairs", which was not going to be possible because,as was explained to him,it was already the end of the work day (we are open from 4am - 4pm and I stay on site for pick ups/drop offs until 4:30p-5:00p), and the mechanic was out that dayNorm repeated the need to drop the vehicle off to the customer's dismayThat was the entire extent of that conversation It was a few days later that he called back and spoke to the mechanic and again, it was explained to him that the vehicle needed to be dropped off because we did not assess his complaint nor could determine in advance how long (in terms of hours, not days) the necessary repairs would takeMr***'s hostile response was that we would keep his vehicle for an unnecessary amount of time (unfounded assumption) and he would not be willing to leave it at our shop for that reasonThe mechanic explained that one day should be plenty of time to take care of his problem, assuming his complaint was an accurate assessment, and there was no basis to assume we would not work in good faith to remedy the problem he so describedAs far as the specific content of conversation he contends took place: It is a claim he is making in order to circumvent going through the proper procedures of (possible) warranty work in order to not be inconvenienced, which he made clear over the phoneHis claims are absurd and given we have been doing business at this location since without a single complaint helps lend to that factThe mechanic developed a curt response to the customer's lack of cooperation, insults and hostile manner, but a far cry from the accusations outlined in his complaintWe are not honoring an arbitrarily determined payment of $to the customerWe never examined his complaint and if in fact the parking brake was/is not working, it would be our right to repair it under "warranty"He refused to provide us with a reasonable opportunity from the time he initially contacted usWe are proud of our long history of good-standing with the communityWe have not denied (nor confirmed) he could have an issue deserving of attentionBut, his actions lead us to believe he has dishonest motivesThe offer remains for the customer to leave the vehicle at our facility for exam and subsequent repairs, at no expense to the customer, if in fact we determine any fault with the customer's vehicle was existing at the time of purchase and no attempted repairs or damage thereof has occurred since the date of purchaseHe can drop off and pick up at times of day he feels most comfortable withAs always, our best effort to completing repair jobs left in early morning will be madeThe most notable delay in that process would be lack of available parts, which is not common for a vehicle of that make/modelProfessionally, Catherine N***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. Since this company is now saying that I am lying. I only called the shop once to let them know what was wrong with the vehicle. And I was talked to rudely and was told to bring the vehicle down and leave it so they could look at it when they felt like it. This is our only way to and from work so we can't just leave the vehicle until they feel like fixing itLike previously stated I will not take this vehicle back to them for repairs because of there previously stated behavior. Also not sure what she is tal about since I was not given a warranty with this vehicleRegards, *** ***
