Review: [redacted] construction was my GC for kitchen remodel. He was paid by my State Farm insurance for a claim. The job included new flooring, kitchen cabinets, installing new appliances and fixtures. I just received a second invoice for $55.00 that states Plumbing. I had to have Mr [redacted] come out on two separate occasions to finalize the cabinet drawer that still isn't closing correctly but to also reinstall the reverse osmosis filtration system. After the water filtration system was finally correct after three months when job was completed and installed correctly, as my insurance company required, he sends me a bill. My dispute is [redacted] never informed my wife or I that this was a billing call. In addition, we didn't sign any paperwork informing of this. This is considered warranty work not out of warranty.Desired Settlement: Have this invoice which I call unethical removed and never receive an invoice again.

I agree that this customer should not be responsible for the $55.00 fee that was generated to repair the damage to the old reverse osmosis filtration system. The insurance company should have been made aware of the damage caused by its removal, which was done by Service Master Inc. Service Master Inc was hired by the insurance company to remove the kitchen floor, fixtures and cabinets. The kitchen had been flooded by the swimming pool contractors efforts to drain the swimming pool into the kitchen clean out pipe, located below the kitchen window, on the exterior wall. The reverse osmosis system was placed in the garage after they removed it, along with all the other fixtures and appliances. I was not hired to remodel the kitchen until after these events took place. The entire kitchen was gutted and dried out before I was hired and the contracts were signed. Once the kitchen remodel was completed and the old filtration system was being re-installed, it was discovered that the goose neck water dispenser for the system was damaged during removal. I purchased and installed a new goose neck dispenser at no charge. After some trouble shooting we discovered a cracked fitting and a damaged ferrule. I purchased and installed new parts to replace the damaged ones and was successful in getting the system back online drip free. I mailed the $55.00 invoice to [redacted] for payment, as I had done for all previous invoices. I expected he would forward it to his insuranse company, as Service Master was liable for the damage and the cost of repairs. This was how all prior payments for the entire insurance project were handled. The insurance proceeds went to [redacted], he then paid [redacted] Construction. I was not aware he had any complaints until I received your notice in the mail a few days ago. I was taken a bit by surprise given the fact that he, as a friend that I have known for a few years now, did not attempt to call me. In the interest of customer satisfaction and his friendship, I will waive the $55.00 fee. I am proud to say this is the first complaint I have received in my 20 years of business ownership. I will see to it that the cabinet maker correct the drawer issue. It was my understsnding that it had been corrected some time ago. This is a warranty issue, and we stand behinde our work and the work of our subcontractors.
