This letter is in response to a complaint that was filed on 11/08/and assigned ID of [redacted] The resident moved into Norstar at Bear Creek Apartment homes on 07/22/ When she took possession of her apartment, there were some issues that we were trying to take care in that unitThe carpet and flooring was replaced in her unit, however, due to a delay with the 3'd party company that we use to install, it wasn't completed until after she moved inBecause of the delay, we gave a concession to the resident in the amount of $which was the remaining amount of rent for the month of July That weekend the resident called the answering service numerous times in regards to her a/c units She also complained that there were roaches in her apartment homeWe had her unit on the schedule that Monday to be sprayed She left her keyless lock on her front door and we were unable to get into the unitThe same thing happened with trying to take care of her a/c issuesIt was several days before she left the lock undone.The resident spoke with the President of our company and had an agreement with her to allow her out of her lease contract as long as she gave a day notice and paid through the daysThere was a legal agreement that both the resident manager signed and then tenant (See Attached) It a lso states that if the resident doesn't fulfill her end of the deal, we can hold her to all of the legal terms per the lease contract The day notice was given on 08/05/ The resident was responsible for rent through 10/04/2016, however chose to move out on 09/15/ She only paid through the 15th of the month.The resident was still only charged rent for the rest of September and the prorated amount for October She also had a final utility bill that was charged back to her for water/sewer, and trash.At this time there will be no refund of the deposit and the resident owes us a balance of $394.40.If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me in my office at [redacted]

Because of the delay, we gave a concession to the resident in the amount of $480.64 which was the remaining amount of rent for the month of July . That weekend the resident called the answering service numerous times in regards to her a/c units.  She also complained that there were roaches in her apartment home. We had her unit on the schedule that Monday to be sprayed . She left her keyless lock on her front door and we were unable to get into the unit. The same thing happened with trying to take care of her a/c issues. There was a legal agreement that both the resident manager signed and then tenant.  (See Attached)  It a lso states that if the resident doesn't fulfill her end of the deal, we can hold her to all of the legal terms per the lease contract .
