We had a new fence installed ahead of getting our pool done. However the fence has massive gaps underneath that doesnt pass city code.
We had the fence installed in Jan 2018 and paid almost $16000 to have a fence and an electric gate installed. However, the fence has gaps between the base of the fence and the ground. Which the company agreed to install/weld beams to close. However, after repeated calls, messages and reminders over the last 5 months, they have not shown up and/or fixed the issue. It will cost me $5000 to have another contractor come and address the issue. Also the electronic gate bangs against the brick wall, which they are supposed to have installed a post to stop it from happening. The Post has not been installed too.
Resolution would be to either pay the $5000 to have someone else fix these issues and/or Nortex fence & Patio come back to finish this work in the next 2 weeks.

We have tried to call the customer and text several times and the phone number we have would ring to no voicemail and now says the number has been disconected.
The fence we installed is a wrought iron fence. Iron fence panels are rectangle and are not ideal for sloped ground applications. However, there are many occurances where iron fencing is the only choice even with a sloped ground. Imagine placing a rectangle on top of a half moon...that is how the "gaps" occur. Adding additional custom welded bars to close these gaps is an option that is additional. The customer did not have a pool when we installed the fence and the "gaps" under the fence werent an issue. When they added the pool long after we finished the fence I imagine the spaces came up on the pool inspection. We have called and texted about 12 times and have not been able to reach the customer to give them a bid for the custom welding project, but the phone number we have has been disconnected. This project would be a few hundred dollars, nowhere near $5000. Whoever tod them that is trying to take advantage. I am not familiar with the gate issue, as we have not been able to reach the customer to further elaborate, but it sounds like they lost power at some point (possibly due to a storm) amd the open/close limits setting on the motor has been lost adn needs to be reset. We can walk them through this process over the phone, or schedule a call out. However, they can not be reached. We would be happy to bid adding to their wrought iron fence to meet pool code, and help with the gate issue but we have no way of contacting them.

I have called and left my number multiple times as well as spoke to Mike Salsido the sales guy. When we were installing the fence we had clearly Stated we were installing a pool and needed the fence to code, that's when Nortex recommended specific type of self locking gates which they charged us for and installed the gates. To now say they didnt know about it is a joke. I expect the gaps to be closed with additional bars placed under the fence at no additional cost. We have been able to reach the customer and are scheduling Monday to go out and make the changes he's requested.
