Five stars! Needed a fence as soon as possible, called North American, they told us there was a one to two week wait. They come back the next day saying it had a cancellation and could come out the following day! They showed up on time as scheduled. They put in cement post and came back two days later to finish off the fence. Efficient, thorough, great quality and service!

Review: We received an estimate for a new fence on or before May 12th, 2015. At that time we were told it would be 2 weeks from the receipt of our deposit check to the replacement of the fence. We mailed our check on May 18th. We were then told it would be 3 weeks. We informed them that we needed the fence to be completed before June 27th. We were told this would be doable. Now, today (June 16th) we are told it will be another week and a half at least until they can begin our fence. They were deceptive in their contention that they would be able to provide us with a fence in our time frame. Had I known this, we would have contacted another fencing company.Desired Settlement: This company has an undeserved A+ Revdex.com rating. This should be noted in their Revdex.com files.

Our intentions are not to be deceptive. Our policy is to perform the jobs in the order that we receive the deposits. Our estimator was at their property on April 27th to give an estimate. At that time our backlog was 2 weeks. We received the signed contract and deposit on May 20th. Our job ledger shows that 66 contracts came in between the time of the estimate and the time we received their contract. When contacted by the customer with their time frame issues we returned their deposit in full as per their request.

I have not received any moneys from this company yet. And why would they not tell us that they could not complete our job in the time frame we needed? They must have known when they cashed our check. We might have had time to contact another fencing company had we known.

The refund was mailed the day the customer requested the refund which was 6-16-15. The check was cashed by [redacted] on 6-22-15.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

The company's response does not address the fact that they cashed our deposit check knowing that they would not be able to meet our often-repeated timeline. By doing so, they eliminated our ability to contact another contractor in a reasonable time frame. Other potential customers should be aware of that possibility with this company.

Review: In July of 2009, I purchased a black, vinyl-coated chain link fence with installation from North American. Last year, 2015, I noticed that the vinyl coating was peeling from most of the top rail and other areas on the fence. I contacted North American. First I was told to buy paint and paint it, to which I replied that was exactly why I paid more for vinyl coated - so I didn't have to paint it. I was told someone would come to look at it and call me. No one did. Two weeks later, I called to follow up. I was told that the "production manager" was investigating who manufactured my fencing. I asked to be transferred to the production manager. I left a message. He never called back. Subsequently, I placed 3 additional calls to the production manager to no avail. To this day, no one has looked at my fence and no one has called me back. I have an unsightly, defective fence that I am very unhappy with.Desired Settlement: I would like the top rails and posts that are losing vinyl to be replaced. If North American is unwilling to replace the defective fencing, I would like a credit for the money I spent.

On July 2, 2015, Bruce [redacted] from our office stopped at Mr [redacted]s home to inspect the fence. He found the toprail to be defective in two areas. The following day he spoke with Mr [redacted] and asked him if he had his copy of the warranty, he said he did not think so, our contract states that the warranty is in effect for 60 months from the time of installation. The manufactures warranty covers the material only. I will happy to take a look at the fence on his property and supply the material needed if I find it defective and install it if he is willing to pay the cost of the labor needed. I will not put any profit on the labor cost. I would also like to see his copy of the contract. As for the 3-4 follow up calls, no one in the office is aware of them

Review: I had North American Fencing give me a estimate on May of 2015 to have a fence installed. I submitted a down payment check shortly after,. the check was cashed on June 4th 2015. I was told that after the check was cashed it would be a month before the installment could be done. I have made a few phone calls in-between this time, and I have been told that it is still going to be 2 to 3 more weeks before it could be done. its been almost two months since the check was cashed, still no installment of the fence.Desired Settlement: I would like the fence to be installed by August 4th 2015. If that can not be done for some reason. then I would like a total refund of my down payment check.

North American Fencing was at Mr. [redacted]s home on April 30th to measure and give him a price to install a chain link fence, at this time he was told the backlog was about four weeks and we do the projects in the order we receive the down payments. We received his down payment on June 3, 2015, one month later than when we were at his home. During this month the backlog has grown to six or seven weeks. Due to the amount of rain we had in June and July it has been difficult to keep up with this schedule. We called Mr [redacted] today at 9:30 A.M. to schedule his project, no answer, had to leave a message on his phone. We are trying to schedule for this Friday, July 31st. We are very sorry for the delay, but we do not control the weather, we are doing our best, our installer are working fifty hour plus to get all the work done as quick as we can.
