1. No hot water. Took shower in cold water. Called reception, they said they don’t care.
2. Heating wasn’t working. Moved me to another room.
3. Bugs crawling up my hand in the middle of night.
4. Loud music playing by elevator all night. Couldn’t sleep all night. Called reception, they said they don’t care.
NEVER EVER STAY AT THIS CHEAP HOTEL. Rather pay more money and stay at a good hotel.
Complained to management. They never cared nor did they refund me.
Management and staff extremely rude and unhelpful.

Review: On April 24,2013 I checked into the north american motor inn, upon going to my room and doing my personal inspection, I noticed there was no tissue paper, no soap, no towels, I called the front dest, I was told I'd have to come get them which I did, after going back in the bathroom I noticed the tub was dirty,the sink had hair in it, which was not mine, and the worst part was the toilet seat was covered in urine, I went back to the front dest in an attempt to get my money back, I was told I would have to speak to the manager, so I went back to the room to get my things and wait for my ride, I left and called the next morning to speak with the manager, no success, I have called at least 3x a week since only to be told he was not there, However this morning 5/14/2013 I called and the manager was there but would not get on the phone, told his staff to tell me if I stayed more than an hour there was nothing he could do.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund as well as an apology, I would also like this hotel to be cleaned and inspected.

Review: There are multiple issues linked to my interaction with this establishment. The sevice here is poor. The customer service is worse and the staff are rude and not in anyway helpful. I reserved a room a month prior to my august 31, 2013 visit. We arrived too early to check in but had to go to an event around check in time, although we spoke to them the day prior and was assured we could check in a little earlier we were refused. The staff there said we could check in at the time we returned from out event which would would have been before midnight on the 31st, we arrived earlier around 9:30 pm to check in, the receptionist at the desk immediately stated they had no rooms available, when I protested she asked if I had a reservation, when I said I did she took my drivers license and checked on her computer. She returned my license and said we have no rooms available. Although there were only two in my room our group included 13 individuals total who were also reserved guests so at least four or more rooms were reserved through them as well. We were all charged for the stay already. My credit card had been charged prior to my attempt to check in. My credit card was credited that night but no one elses. They denied charging anyone for their rooms. 15 out of towners stranded 2 hours away from home with basically no money for another room somewhere else due to the fees charged. Here a week later I check my credit card statement only to find that the Inn charged me for another stay at their establishment while I was home sleeping. I called Saturday the 7th of September and gave the receptionist my information and the nature of my call. She said she would pass this information to the hotel administrator and they would call me back. It is now the 10th and I have yet to recieve a phone call, refund or an apology. I had to return home the night of the 31st,and lost over 150 dollars spent on a concert I could not attend due to no lodging.Desired Settlement: On top of wanting my money back, I think this place is used to scam individuals out of their hard earned money. In the best interest of anyone looking for affordable accomidations when traveling to the Philly area I believe they should be investigated, and either shut down or fined for fraud. If they are found to be performing illegal activities they should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Review: checked into hotel at 11:15 pm on 5-21-2014. paid $100.00 cash. we went to our room, sat down to eat our dinner and roaches crawled from behind the head board on the wall. we immediately went back down stairs to check out and get a refund, we where given a $20.00 key refund and denied $80.00. this was at 11:30 pm. we where told to call a [redacted] the next day to see if we would get a refund. I called on 5-22-2014 at 2pm and was told he was in a meeting. I left my name and number twice the other 6 times that I called after that no one answered the phone. [redacted] never called me back. That night we decided to leave because of the unsanitary condition of the room. we where not told that there where roaches in the room. we had to go to another hotel.Desired Settlement: we want our $80.00 back we where in the room for 10 minutes. we left because of the unsanitary condition

Review: My boyfriend and I booked a room at the North American Motor Inn on [redacted] in [redacted], PA for 7/7/14-7/9/14. Upon arrival, there were multiple issues with our room, including a door that didn't lock, a foul odor in the room, a very dirty carpet, no garbage can or towels in the room, a dirty room phone that didn't work, and a smoke detector that was ripped out of the wall with wires hanging out. We immediately went to the front desk and without question or hesitation the front desk clerk handed us keys for the next room over. We then went upstairs to check the new room, which was a little better than the first; it did not smell and seemed cleaner, but there was still no garbage can or towels provided. The telephone did not work in this room either, and we could not turn on the air conditioner unit because of dust and mold that was caked in the vents. We left our room for a few hours and returned at about midnight. Soon after arriving back in our room, we could clearly hear felonious activity (prostitution) going on in the rooms on either side of us through the very thin walls. Men were walking in and out of the rooms all night and even knocking on our door, which we did not answer. At 5am we were unable to sleep because of the extremely loud and obnoxious sexual activity happening on the other side of our wall. We then heard a woman screaming in that room and realized that one of the men had assaulted and robbed her. She was then on her phone for the next hour explaining the situation to multiple people. We finally went to the front desk at 8am when we felt safe to leave our room and explained the situation to the front desk clerk. She informed us that in order for a refund we would have to speak with the manager, Mr. D[redacted], who was not in. We checked out of the hotel immediately, on Tuesday July 8th 2014.

Later that day we called the North American Motor Inn asking for the manager, Mr. D[redacted]. He was not in, so we left a message. We have called the hotel numerous times every day ( for 14 days) asking for the manager and leaving messages, and we have not spoken to or heard back from the manager once. We have also contacted Hotels.com, who we booked the hotel through, explained the situation to 3 different supervisors, and they have not been able to help us. They claim that because we payed North American Motor Inn with our credit card, and not Hotels.com, that a refund is in their hands. We spoke to supervisor at [redacted].com, [redacted], on 7/18, who told us that he would personally handle us getting a refund and that he would get back to us in 48 hours. We have not heard from him.Desired Settlement: Full refund from North American Motor Inn for $360.30 on my [redacted] card.
